Iris is lovely, never would have thought of the virus connection imo! I do pronounce them slightly differently though.

Thanks for this! I’m feeling pretty OK in that only one of the responses so far has been “nah, it’s fine”, but I am glad that at least someone else makes this connection (I feel less overthink-y)

Thanks, everyone! If most name nerds don’t make this connection I feel better that most people in general also wouldn’t. (I guess it helps that [name_f]Iris[/name_f] has the flower as an easy reference point.)
