I really like [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] [name_m]Vaughn[/name_m] and I think it fits nicely with [name_m]Callum[/name_m] [name_u]Rhys[/name_u]

I think it’s unisex and is spelled [name_u]Rowan[/name_u]. However, I would assume [name_u]Rowen[/name_u] was a boy, whereas [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] would leave me guessing/depend on the middle name.

It’s unisex but I prefer it on a boy and always spelled [name_u]Rowan[/name_u].

[name_u]Rowan[/name_u] is one of few legitimately unisex names, but I think it feels masculine. I prefer the [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] spelling.

Thanks, everyone! Can I ask another question of you all?

Nameberry lists [name_u]Roan[/name_u] as an alternate spelling to [name_u]Rowan[/name_u]… However I personally pronounce these differently:

I grew up riding horses, the horse that I learned to ride on was considered a [name_u]Red[/name_u] [name_u]Roan[/name_u] (google it, they’re beautiful, there’s also [name_u]Blue[/name_u] Roans) Now, we always pronounced [name_u]Roan[/name_u] with one syllable, so that it rhymed with tone, phone, bone, moan, etc… I pronounce [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] exactly the way it looks, two syllables, emphasis on the first and a very short second syllable - ROW-an… Am I wrong here? I actually like ROW-an, with [name_u]Roan[/name_u] as a nickname.

I noticed that as well. I always have said [name_u]Roan[/name_u] as Rone, and [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] like Row-an.

BTW, I think it is a solid unisex name, and I would say I like [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] for a boy and [name_u]Rowen[/name_u] for a girl.
