This is my first post here… My hubby and are are planning in TTC fairly soon and have long discussed names…
Since my father in law passed last year, I have really loved the idea of [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f] as a middle, honour name, either on its own or as a second middle…
I’d love some ideas of what could go in that all important first spot. I feel like with a big, complex middle like [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f], we might need a shorter more spunky name up front. We like familiar but not top 20ish names…hubby dislikes anything he deems ‘old ladyish’
Some thoughts so far… Not sure I can sell these combos to the hubby.
[name_f]Blythe[/name_f] [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f]
[name_u]Brooke[/name_u] [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f]
[name_f]Clarice[/name_f] [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f]
[name_f]Cora[/name_f] [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f]
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f] (dare we? Too much name)
[name_f]Romilly[/name_f] [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f]
[name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f]
I’d love some more ideas for either just first names or for a first and first middle, our last name is two syllables, beginning with P…
Have you considered [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f] as the first name? [name_f]Willa[/name_f], [name_f]Minnie[/name_f], or [name_f]Mina[/name_f] are all gorgeous nicknames.
Hello, thank you. They are lovely nicknames and we have thought about that. My feeling is, however irrational, that I’d want to give a future child a first name that is just a name for them, without the weight of honouring someone else. I feel better about that bring in a middle spot.
