So here’s a piece of our story…My husband is really involved in the process of naming our children, however I’ve discovered he loves alliteration. This does not bother me as I love the lyrical sound of our daughters’ names…but after naming two little girls I’ve used up my most favorite names that I had double letters of…[name]Elena[/name] [name]Esme[/name] A. (we do two mn), and [name]Mahayla[/name] (family name) [name]Mercy[/name] J.
There are only a few names that we agree we love enough to consider if our next babe happens to be another little girl.
[name]Lael[/name] (a Hebrew name, we belieive to be pronounced [name]Lay[/name]-elle) this is my favorite
We also like
[name]Clemency[/name] (not so sure but love the meaning)
[name]Cara[/name] (also love the meaning)
[name]Felicity[/name] (dh only moderately likes this one)
prior to knowing how popular [name]Sophia[/name] would be this was a favorite a couple of years ago and almost made the list for both our girls.
My question is what would you suggest. I prefer 3 syllable-4 syllable first names ending in a. None of the names left on our list that we agree on fit this description…
I also like Caralina (spelled this way to have the meaning of dear included in the name), but don’t love it as I do my other children’s names.
I like the suggestion of [name]Clementina[/name] and would also suggest [name]Feliciana[/name]. If you like the spelling of Caralina for its meaning but don’t love it, I don’t know what to suggest other than to find a similar sounding name. [name]Carolena[/name], [name]Carolina[/name], [name]Coralina[/name], [name]Catalina[/name] or Cataleya, for example. With a name like that, keeping the alliteration would be easy.
[name]Felicity[/name] [name]Fiona[/name]
[name]Felicity[/name] [name]Faye[/name]
[name]Felicity[/name] [name]Phoebe[/name] (same sound, different letters?)
Like pp’s suggestion of [name]Felicia[/name] as well.
[name]Felicia[/name] [name]Faye[/name]
[name]Felicia[/name] [name]Flora[/name]
[name]Felicia[/name] [name]Philippa[/name]
