A Longer Name for Zelda

I’ve recently been loving the name [name_f]Zelda[/name_f] - she’s so spunky-sweet, and I love her vintage vibes!!

[name_f]My[/name_f] partner also really likes her, but feels apprehensive about it due to the video game associations.

So, I’d love to hear your thoughts: what are some longer names that [name_f]Zelda[/name_f] could be a nickname for? [name_m]Feel[/name_m] free to be as stretchy as you like, I’d love to hear any and all ideas!!

I have only seen it as short for [name_f]Griselda[/name_f] (which I don’t love), so any other ideas are welcome!!

Honestly I’d just go with [name_f]Zelda[/name_f].
I can’t think of much except for [name_f]Griselda[/name_f] & IMO [name_f]Zelda[/name_f] is far prettier on its own, regardless of the game. I also don’t think the game is a big deal either, in the grand scheme of things the gaming community is small in comparison to every person you’ll meet in your life & even those who recognise the name from the game wouldn’t necessarily assume a [name_f]Zelda[/name_f] was named after the game but simply just had the same name, no different than a [name_m]Harry[/name_m], [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] or [name_m]Ron[/name_m] being characters from [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] yet equally stand alone names :blush:

A few names that ‘could’ work though some are a bit of a stretch. [name_f]Hope[/name_f] it helps :blush:

I love [name_f]Zelda[/name_f] and a lot of things starting with Z
[name_f]Esmerelda[/name_f] is the only one i can think of that it could in some way shorten to [name_f]Zelda[/name_f]

I second aylacoggins’ comment when it comes to elongating [name_f]Zelda[/name_f]
