We are definitely having a boy. The name I am thinking of now is [name_m]Matteo[/name_m] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] M@ri@ni. We would never use his middle name in practice, but it has meaning for me. I like the sound of [name_m]Matteo[/name_m] M@ri@ni. Actually, a lot of the names I think flow best with our last name have M’s in them - [name_m]Emmanuel[/name_m], [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], [name_m]Anselmo[/name_m], etc. (though I wouldn’t use these.)

I love [name_m]Matteo[/name_m]! If DH or I had Italian heritage it would probably be on my list. I don’t think the m’s are a problem. I agree that names with m in them sound good with your last name!
[name_m]Matteo[/name_m] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] is very handsome. I have [name_u]Emmett[/name_u] [name_m]Mateo[/name_m] on my list which is even more I think.
Ms in all three names is a lot but I don’t think it’s a deal breaker. It sounds like it will be a gorgeous name.
I like [name_m]Matteo[/name_m] a lot, and I think [name_f]Sofia[/name_f], [name_f]Caterina[/name_f], and [name_m]Matteo[/name_m] are absolute perfection together! When I say [name_m]Matteo[/name_m] and [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] with your surname, it seems like little much, but I can almost guarantee you I wouldn’t have considered it if you hadn’t pointed it out! I think [name_m]Matteo[/name_m] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] and [name_m]Matteo[/name_m] [name_f]Mar[/name_f]!an! sound great together, and I still think the name is great together. Originally I stuttered over it, but now that I’ve said it a couple times, it really doesn’t bother me at all. I would go for it!

[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_m]Matteo[/name_m], love [name_m]Thomas[/name_m], and I think they all flow really nicely! Feels like a really balanced and warm name to me, probably from all those m’s and a’s. Like the spaghetti and meatballs of names.
I don’t think it’s a problem to have the same first- and last-name initials when the two names still flow nicely together, which I find to be the case here. In fact, I think it makes for a sonorous, memorable name.
