Me and my husband are expecting a little one (perhaps two, we should find out tomorrow) in [name_f]February[/name_f] and had already settled on the name [name_u]August[/name_u] long before we even began this pregnancy. We are looking for middles that may go with [name_u]August[/name_u] well. Our daughter is [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] [name_f]Eve[/name_f].

We already love [name_u]Paxton[/name_u], [name_m]Forest[/name_m] and [name_u]Tyler[/name_u], but none seem to flow well with [name_u]August[/name_u].

Hmm, they may not seem to flow at the moment but maybe they will grow on you?

I quite liked the feel of [name_u]August[/name_u] [name_u]Paxton[/name_u] (found that [name_u]Pax[/name_u] was also a name but was not too sure about [name_u]August[/name_u] [name_u]Pax[/name_u]).

What does [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] [name_f]Eve[/name_f] think? Maybe she could have the honour of the final say on a second name for little [name_u]August[/name_u] (if he turns out to be a he)?

Thank you for the advice! Yes, [name_u]August[/name_u] [name_u]Paxton[/name_u] is our front runner and we all are sort of if-y on it. Our [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] has a lot of Nameberry knowledge, from a few years ago, (she just taught me how to reply with these quotes!) and she’s been an awesome help. [name_f]Rosie[/name_f]'s already been the one to suggest all other boys names other than [name_u]August[/name_u].

I love the suggestion of [name_u]August[/name_u] [name_u]Grey[/name_u] above.

I think the problem is that [name_u]August[/name_u] doesn’t seem to pair well with other two syllable names. More ideas:

I agree, I think a one or three syllable mn pairs a little better.
[name_u]August[/name_u] [name_u]Grey[/name_u] and [name_u]August[/name_u] [name_u]Jude[/name_u] are great suggestions :slight_smile:

From your list I think [name_u]August[/name_u] [name_u]Tyler[/name_u] sounds fine. I would explore my options a bit more though.
