SO and I have picked [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] if our baby is a girl, but we’re stumped for middles. Our 2 contenders so far are [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f] (our 2nd choice for the baby’s first name) and [name_f]Dawn[/name_f] (my mom’s name), but neither of us are in love with either combo.
With our first ([name_f]Brynn[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]), we were in the exact same situation; we easily agreed on a first name but could not agree on a middle, so we settled for the classic but kind of lackluster [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. I’d rather not settle this time, but I’m struggling to find something I really like with [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]. Any thoughts/inspirations?
**The 2 B’s ([name_f]Brynn[/name_f] and [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]) are coincidental. The name [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] just became very important to us while ttc, so there isn’t a pattern we’re trying to match.
To honor [name_f]Dawn[/name_f], you could use [name_f]Aurora[/name_f]-- [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] is a great combo! I know a [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] and think that’s a lovely combo too. While I love [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f], I don’t think the X ending goes well with the S-sound to start.

The suggestions are so pretty already. I thought I’d throw a few more out since [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] is in my list and I’ve played around with combos for the past few days. Found out I liked [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] E, [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] A, and [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] M in general, because you can sort of play with shortening – [name_f]Bee[/name_f], [name_f]Bea[/name_f], Bem / Bim.
Loving these suggestions so far. [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Claire[/name_f], [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f], [name_f]Caroline[/name_f], [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] (I love [name_f]Jane[/name_f] too but I’m wary of the initials BJ), Maurgerite, and [name_f]Eileen[/name_f] (and several others hubby already vetoed). And @awkwarddeafchick, it’s so funny you mention [name_f]Edna[/name_f]. That’s my beloved grandma’s name but I think we’re trying to avoid E names so the initials don’t exactly match [name_f]Brynn[/name_f]'s. Plus my husband’s eye twitched unpleasantly when I mentioned [name_f]Edna[/name_f] so I don’t think he’s a fan…
LOL. Husbands never are. I talked to mine about it and he was hesitant until I told him [name_f]Edna[/name_f] -> [name_f]Aithne[/name_f] (Similar pronunciation) -> “[name_m]Fire[/name_m]”. He likes fire, so prefers the actual [name_f]Aithne[/name_f] name. My fondness with [name_f]Edna[/name_f] stems from the poet. [name_f]Edna[/name_f] St. [name_m]Vincent[/name_m] [name_f]Millay[/name_f].
Another one my husband surprised me with actually LOVING was [name_f]Endellion[/name_f]. “[name_m]Fire[/name_m] soul”. Are you surprised? Haha. Yours might like it. It has some cute nickname possibilities, too, if you like it. Endy, Enni, [name_f]Dellie[/name_f], [name_u]Lee[/name_u], [name_f]Lina[/name_f], Enders.
Oh I wish @thefairophelia. [name_u]Valentine[/name_u] is a family name on my side and I found out I was pregnant with this rainbow baby on [name_u]Valentine[/name_u]'s [name_u]Day[/name_u]. If it were up to me, she’d be [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_u]Valentine[/name_u] (I know [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] is the feminine form, but [name_u]Valentine[/name_u] has more meaning to me).
