We’re due [name_u]November[/name_u]/December with our baby boy, [name_u]August[/name_u]. We’re stuck on a middle name and would love some new ideas or advice on our preexisting ideas. The last name is similar to [name_u]Clare[/name_u] to give you an idea of the flow of the name.
Some we like so far are;
August [name_u]Arlo[/name_u] (however I have reservations about [name_u]Arlo[/name_u], I want this name to age well and I feel like where [name_u]August[/name_u] is already a bold choice [name_u]Arlo[/name_u] might be too much).
[name_u]August[/name_u] [name_m]Henry[/name_m].
[name_u]August[/name_u] [name_m]Hugo[/name_m].
[name_u]August[/name_u] [name_m]Arthur[/name_m].
[name_u]August[/name_u] [name_u]Reid[/name_u].
Please do leave opinions and suggestions. I like classical names and I like earthy names. For a better idea of our style our girls name was going to be [name_f]Harriet[/name_f], with middle name ideas [name_f]Ramona[/name_f], [name_f]Maeve[/name_f], [name_u]Sage[/name_u], [name_u]Harper[/name_u], and [name_f]Opal[/name_f].
I like [name_u]August[/name_u] [name_u]Arlo[/name_u], [name_u]August[/name_u] [name_m]Henry[/name_m], and [name_u]August[/name_u] [name_m]Arthur[/name_m]! I think [name_u]August[/name_u] (as well as [name_u]Arlo[/name_u]!) is becoming more and more common, so it’s not that out there as a choice.
God I love [name_u]August[/name_u] [name_u]Milo[/name_u] but [name_u]Milo[/name_u] is so similar to his cousins name that I feel like it would be weird. And where I live [name_u]August[/name_u] and [name_u]Arlo[/name_u] are definitely different choices! [name_f]My[/name_f] local mom groups still have tons of babies named good ole Masons and Sophias, I’ve seen maybe one [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] and that was as unique as it got.
That’s true, it definitely varies by area. Have you brought it up to the cousin’s parents? Often similarities between a middle name of one child and the first name of another aren’t at all weird. [name_m]Plenty[/name_m] of families even have cousins with the same firsts and/or middles.
August is one of my absolute faves. From your list I think [name_u]August[/name_u] [name_m]Henry[/name_m] is classic and perfect. [name_u]August[/name_u] [name_u]Reid[/name_u] is cool and fresh and definitely works too.
August [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_u]Maxwell[/name_u] is in my name card! So my favourite names for boys are [name_u]August[/name_u] [name_m]Henry[/name_m] and [name_u]August[/name_u] [name_u]Maxwell[/name_u]!
