I am enchanted with the name Evermore for my daughter, but am shorthanded on middles other than [name_f]Soleil[/name_f] (eternal sun/sunshine- this one makes me smile), and perhaps [name_f]Willow[/name_f] (wisdom), [name_f]Celestia[/name_f] (heavens), [name_u]Phoenix[/name_u]…
Evermore [name_f]Soleil[/name_f] is the only one I’m hooked on.
I was hoping that some of you lovelies might have some suggestions. I’m looking for nature inspired-poetic (word names sure)-names that mean beloved… or enchanting
Other first name options that made my list were [name_f]Gaia[/name_f], [name_f]Willow[/name_f], and [name_f]Lilith[/name_f] (which I am tempted to put into a 3 name combo), so you get an idea of my taste.
Oh, Evermore [name_f]Soleil[/name_f] is absolutely stunning!! Great choice! I remember that a user here had a daughter named [name_u]Ever[/name_u] [name_f]Soleil[/name_f].
Other suggestions :
Evermore [name_f]Thisbe[/name_f] ([name_f]Thisbe[/name_f] means lover)
Evermore Amor (Amor means love)
Evermore [name_f]Allegra[/name_f] ([name_f]Allegra[/name_f] means joyful)
Evermore [name_f]Amity[/name_f] ([name_f]Amity[/name_f] means friendship)
Evermore [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] (lorelei means alluring enchantress)
Evermore [name_f]Amarantha[/name_f]
Evermore [name_f]Aria[/name_f]
Evermore [name_m]Saul[/name_m]ė ( [name_m]Saul[/name_m]ė means my sun)
Evermore [name_f]Hazel[/name_f]
Evermore [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] ([name_f]Cosima[/name_f] means universe)
Evermore [name_f]Calista[/name_f] ([name_f]Calista[/name_f] means beautiful)
Evermore [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] ([name_f]Imogen[/name_f] means beloved child)
Evermore [name_f]Esme[/name_f] ([name_f]Esme[/name_f] means beloved)
Evermore [name_f]Lux[/name_f] ([name_f]Lux[/name_f] means light)
Evermore is beautiful, but I would personally give her a slightly more traditional middle to fall back on. I did this with my own daughter (should she ever want to use a more “normal” name). This would also provide cute nn options like “[name_u]Georgie[/name_u]” and “[name_u]Frannie[/name_u].”
@ bellerose and freddiethepink- I love the suggestions of [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] & [name_f]Esme[/name_f]. Evermore [name_f]Lenore[/name_f] is too much dedication haha !
I’m worried that two mn will take from the impact of one…
@lerenard- thank you for the suggestions. Though I do appreciate more traditional names, I am not interested in preserving tradition with my daughter, though I would like to preserve her name’s personal meaning and beauty. For me, the point of a unique and stunning first name isn’t to tone it down, but to support it with the second. I am looking for stunning, but not flashy
Hm. Evermore is very interesting. I would never use it, but I think I kind of like it. I immediately think of [name_m]Edgar[/name_m] [name_m]Allan[/name_m] [name_u]Poe[/name_u], and I’ve always loved the darkness of his poems and stories. If your daughter ever feels that Evermore is too much, she could always go by [name_f]Eve[/name_f] or [name_f]Evie[/name_f]. I like Evermore [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] and Evermore [name_f]Soleil[/name_f].
Southern.maple- I also think of [name_u]Poe[/name_u]. Evermore does have a heaviness about it that is balanced by [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] and [name_f]Soleil[/name_f]. [name_m]Both[/name_m] names flow nicely and are equally appealing. I would like her nn to be [name_u]Ever[/name_u], but ultimately it will come down to what she wants
[name_f]My[/name_f] name is Evermore Scottland.
Evermore is actually a combination of both of my grandmas’ last names before marriage. [name_u]Holland[/name_u] Moore/ I took the more for my first name and land for my middle name.
[name_f]Marjorie[/name_f] Everhart/ just took the ever in here.
[name_f]My[/name_f] dad is [name_u]Scott[/name_u], so that is where the double “T” came from
Another concept:-
since my dad’s name is [name_u]Scott[/name_u], my mom said that I could be the one who would always have a place for dad. you know, like Evermore Scottland
That is how my parents explained the name choice to me. They found the word in the dictionary and came up with those concepts. A day later, I was officially Evermore Scottland.
Ps. [name_f]My[/name_f] parents weren’t expecting a girl, they’ve been told I was a boy, so my name was meant to be [name_u]Scott[/name_u] [name_m]Junior[/name_m].
