After some reconsideration, I’ve decided to add [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] to my list, and the [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] connection is actually a huge part of my life. I’m just really unsure on middle names. I do love the sound of [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u], but, that was the character’s full name, so I don’t want to use that.
What middle name would you give to [name_f]Hermione[/name_f]? I’m thinking maybe something short and simple (2 syllables or less?), but I’m not sure.
I love that you’d use [name_f]Hermione[/name_f], I don’t see why the HP connection is a reason not to. I have [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_f]Clio[/name_f] as part of one of my combos, but I do think the ee sound is a bit much. [name_f]Clio[/name_f] is only really in there for the [name_f]Muse[/name_f] connection, tbh. Maybe:
[name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] (Double literary is a bonus, for me anyway)
[name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] (Still too close to [name_u]Jean[/name_u]?)
[name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u]
[name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_f]Alice[/name_f]* (See [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_f]Lyra[/name_f])
[name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_f]Frances[/name_f]*
[name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_f]Beth[/name_f]*
[name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f]
@myosotis I don’t either, plenty of berries have been fine with [name_f]Bellatrix[/name_f], so I don’t get how [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] is bad. At least [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] wasn’t a Slytherin
I really like [name_f]Hermione[/name_f]. Of course the [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] thing is a big connection and a good one for many people, but I’m always a bit shocked when people literally can’t look past that; I know 3 girls called [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] (ages 8, 17 and 21; granted only one born before the books) and they definitely get ‘‘oh like [name_m]Granger[/name_m]!’’ but it’s not a huge hindrance by any means.
Anyway, I’d second Hemrione [name_u]Jean[/name_u] and [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_f]Frances[/name_f]. Maybe;
@oliviasarah really? I don’t know any, haha, but I’ve noticed it’s always appeared in the UK top 1000 since 1996, so maybe that’s why?
I love your suggestions of [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_f]Jasmine[/name_f], [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f], [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_f]Florence[/name_f] and [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_f]Agatha[/name_f].
I love [name_f]Hermione[/name_f]! I don’t know if I would ever be able to use it because my SO doesn’t know the HP series and DEFINITELY doesn’t understand why that name means so much to me and all the other HP fans. I REALLY like [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and the sweetness of [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f].
I’m glad someone else knows [name_f]Bellatrix[/name_f]. I would never name child that purely because of my dislike for the character [name_f]Bellatrix[/name_f] LeStrange.
Also there’s nothing wrong with being a Slytherin. Lol. Yes some of the characters were bad seeds but not all. Professor Snape is my favorite supporting character in the book. I always knew he wasn’t as bad as people thought. (:
I know there’s nothing wrong with Slytherin, haha, it’s just, ever since I was a little kid, I’ve been like, full throttle [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] nerd with the Gryffindor pennant in my room, and the robe when I was little I never really liked Snape much until the final books and movies. [name_f]My[/name_f] favourite was always [name_m]Neville[/name_m]
I loved [name_f]Luna[/name_f] Lovegood and [name_f]Hermione[/name_f]! Snape and [name_m]Sirius[/name_m] were favorites, too. [name_f]Bellatrix[/name_f] looks so sinister, even without the association. I was a huge nerd for Gryffindor and Ravenclaw, I could never choose! Did anyone else think the Hufflepuffs were the losers? Lol, they just seemed so irreverent!
Yeah, the oldest is actually my boyfriend’s cousin who lives in Australia so I’ve never actually met her! I really started liking it when I met a little girl with it, she’s actually wild haha (her sister is [name_f]Jasmine[/name_f], I think they’re gorgeous together). The other girl I know I went to school with but never really knew very well.
