A middle name for Mia - Marley, Summer, Cecilia, or Jane?

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] all,

my husband and I are expecting our first baby to come in the [name_f]Summer[/name_f] of next year and as a good nameberry fan, I have done my research.

We have chosen our boy’s name, [name_m]Jake[/name_m] Leonero, because we like short names as first name and the second is my grandfather’s name, which we both really like.

I am Brazilian with strong Italian roots and my husband is Jewish-American. We love the name [name_f]Mia[/name_f] first of all because it is short and also because it’s origin comes from both our Italian and Jewish backgrounds. But we are really stuck with the middle names, and since in my culture we actually use our middle names a lot, I am giving it just as much importance as the first. We chose these names because of what they mean to us and because all of them can potentially sound good after [name_f]Mia[/name_f].
Here they are in the order of what we like the most:

[name_f]Mia[/name_f] [name_u]Marley[/name_u]
[name_f]Mia[/name_f] [name_f]Summer[/name_f]
[name_f]Mia[/name_f] [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]
[name_f]Mia[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]

Ps: our last name starts with the letter F and it’s quite long.

[name_f]Mia[/name_f] [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] is too matchy and rhyming for my tastes, [name_f]Mia[/name_f] [name_u]Marley[/name_u] would go with that. [name_f]Mia[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is nice, but a bit blah, so, process of elimination leaves [name_f]Mia[/name_f] [name_f]Summer[/name_f], which is lovely

I think [name_f]Mia[/name_f] [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] is gorgeous. Is your surname [name_m]German[/name_m] (or does it sound that way)? With a long, heavy, obviously Jewish surname, I would especially favor [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]. [name_f]Mia[/name_f] [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] reflects your Brazilian and Italian heritage, and its lightness balances out an unwieldy surname.

I totally agree with @lawsonhaley
[name_f]Mia[/name_f] [name_u]Marley[/name_u] is too alliterative for me, [name_f]Mia[/name_f] [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f] rhymes too much, [name_f]Mia[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] just doesn’t do anything for me so [name_f]Mia[/name_f] [name_f]Summer[/name_f] it is.

Last name is not [name_m]German[/name_m] sounding, but can fit that description in that it is a heavy surname.

The only thing with [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] is that my husband is not crazy about it at all although it is the only Brazilian name that I can get him to like a little bit. Another possibility for a Brazilian/Italian name that we can consider would be [name_f]Beatriz[/name_f]. (in portuguese, it would be pronounced [name_f]Beah[/name_f]-tris)

It is a middle name and if you will be primarily referring to her by her first name, I think any name you choose (including [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f]) will be fine.
I love [name_f]Mia[/name_f] [name_f]Beatriz[/name_f]. This name gets my vote.

Definitely [name_f]Mia[/name_f] [name_f]Beatriz[/name_f]

My vote goes to [name_f]Mia[/name_f] [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]. [name_m]Even[/name_m] though it’s a little rhymey, I think it sounds lovely! My second choice is [name_f]Mia[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]. Short and sweet!
[name_f]Mia[/name_f] and [name_u]Marley[/name_u] seem too different of styles to be paired together, [name_f]IMO[/name_f], and summer has never been a name I like.

[name_f]Edit[/name_f]: I didn’t notice the [name_f]Beatriz[/name_f] insert. I [name_f]LOVE[/name_f] it!

[name_f]Mia[/name_f] [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] is pretty. the rhyming doesnt bother me because one is so much longer than the other, it breaks it up. [name_f]Summer[/name_f] is not usually my style, but [name_f]Mia[/name_f] [name_f]Summer[/name_f] is very sweet. [name_f]Mia[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] falls a little flat.

[name_f]Mia[/name_f] [name_u]Marley[/name_u] I am undecided on! I thinks it’s cute but if you are going to go the alliterative route, I can think of other M names i’d like more, like [name_f]Mia[/name_f] [name_u]Meredith[/name_u].

My faves are:
[name_f]Mia[/name_f] [name_u]Marley[/name_u]
[name_f]Mia[/name_f] [name_f]Summer[/name_f]
and [name_f]Mia[/name_f] [name_f]Beatriz[/name_f]
