Okay, this is probably a weird one. I was looking through the notes on my phone and rediscovered a name that I think I subconsciously made up in a dream - I couldn’t tell you what on [name_f]Earth[/name_f] this dream was about, just that there was a baby in it and her name was Amelaith (or perhaps Emelaith? Emmelaith?). It was pronounced Am-uh-LAYth.
It’s made up, as far as I know, but I remember writing it down because I actually do like it. It reminds me of [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] and [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] which I both like. I was wondering what everyone else thinks/preferred spelling/possible middles for it.
I think it’s beautiful! I definitely prefer the spelling Amelaith. It sounds a little medieval or fantasy-ish to me, but still humble and gentle. It’s very feminine and sweet.
For some reason my head went right to Arthurian legend with this name, and it made me think of the name Igraine.
Ameliath sounds so pretty it also gives me Knights of the round table mideval vibes. Something about the spelling also strikes me as Galeic or maybe Basque??
I think it’s really pretty. It’s like a combo of something like [name_f]Ameline[/name_f] / [name_f]Amelina[/name_f] & [name_f]Ferelith[/name_f] (Forbflaith). Both of which are medieval / ancient names.
