I prefer [name_f]Esther[/name_f] from your list.
While i love [name_f]Eponine[/name_f] as a name, i think [name_f]Esther[/name_f] fits better with the siblings names.
I love [name_f]Esther[/name_f] with your others kids’ names.
I’m a fan of [name_f]Esther[/name_f] with the other kids’ names, too.
[name_f]Esther[/name_f] is my favorite name of the three, and even more so taking into consideration your other children’s names.
Out of the nicknames, I like [name_f]Etta[/name_f] best, but personally I prefer it as a stand-alone, rather than a nickname for Evolet.
[name_f]Estelle[/name_f] also came to mind for you, but really I think [name_f]Esther[/name_f] is a great pick!
@halloween_jacqueline, we have thought of [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] but figured it was too full of Ls and it would be a bit too much to say next to [name_f]Eulalie[/name_f]. [name_f]Etta[/name_f] is lovely, I adore it, but don’t feel like it is substantial enough to be it’s own full name.
[name_f]Esther[/name_f] fits well with [name_m]Marvin[/name_m], but next to [name_f]Eulalie[/name_f] she feels very plain and grounded. I would be a little jealous of [name_f]Eulalie[/name_f]'s light, ethereal name if I were [name_f]Esther[/name_f]. [name_f]Esther[/name_f] is lovely, but she has an entirely different feel. I love the sound of Evolet, but I don’t like her origins, if the movie were better I would be more favourable actually. The name is the only really good thing about the film for me, but I don’t think the two are can exist independently of one another, sadly. The connection would always be there, and I would personally be a little embarrassed by it. With the right story (“this was the film we watched on our first date” or something) it could be cute, but without a personal connection I find it a little hard to swallow or maybe even take seriously?
[name_f]Eponine[/name_f] is stunning, and I think a lovely fit with with [name_f]Eulalie[/name_f]. ^^ I’m not so fond of [name_f]Nina[/name_f], but would love [name_u]Poe[/name_u], [name_f]Ena[/name_f] or [name_f]Eppie[/name_f] for nicknames. Regardless, [name_f]Eponine[/name_f] is well deserving of more attention and love, and I love even seeing her considered!
(Looking at the middles in your signature, I’m not sure why [name_f]Eponine[/name_f] has the least magical combo? Couldn’t she have some fairy wonder as well?
Would love [name_f]Eponine[/name_f] [name_f]Wisteria[/name_f] [name_f]Fae[/name_f] or [name_f]Eponine[/name_f] [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Mirabel[/name_f].)
I like what dearest said. [name_f]Eulalie[/name_f] and [name_f]Eponine[/name_f] are both gorgeous and feminine and have a bit of whimsy. I think they pair very well, creating the most balanced sib set. But I think what matters most is which one you and dad agree on. Which one do you guys lean towards?
I like Evolet if its pronounced Ev-o-lay
Otherwise, i prefer esther
I disagree with the other posters, I don’t like [name_f]Esther[/name_f] at all. I actually knew an [name_f]Esther[/name_f] for a while and people CONSTANTLY pointed out that it was an old lady name. It really is something to consider.
I love Evolet and [name_f]Eponine[/name_f]! They’re so much more interesting, creative, and fresh sounding–much more 2016. I would assume [name_f]Esther[/name_f] was named by much “older” parents honestly. (I don’t mean to sound harsh, it’s just my 2 cents.)
Good luck either way and congrats on baby “E”!
Sorry to post twice, but I also want to mention that I agree with everything “dearest” said!
I loved [name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Camellia[/name_f] [name_f]Fae[/name_f]!!
I can see that, although I think they’re actually a nice style match–but you do have to think about the practicalities of calling all the kids inside
I can see why you want a full name for [name_f]Etta[/name_f], though I do think it can stand alone, it does feel a little simple perhaps next to [name_f]Eulalie[/name_f]. What do you think of [name_f]Evetta[/name_f]? [name_m]Just[/name_m] a thought…
I also wanted to say, regarding [name_f]Esther[/name_f]. I have a friend who named her daughter this, and I think knowing a young [name_f]Esther[/name_f] has totally transformed the name for me. I did think, “that is old-fasioned” when she picked it, but the more I’ve heard and said it the softer and more lively it becomes to me. I know it’s not for everyone, but to me it has the same vintage vibe as [name_f]Eulalie[/name_f]. I think I’d choose the nickname “[name_f]Essie[/name_f]” for [name_f]Esther[/name_f], but I’d probably find myself just wanting to say the full, lovely name.
Good luck with your choice, I’m sure the final name will be lovely whatever you decide on
