I think all of the names on your list, [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] included, wear well on both a young girl and a grown woman. That said, my favorite for you is [name_f]Jane[/name_f]. I’m so excited to see it listed as a consideration! It is strong, impactful, feminine, and with numerous ties to leaders and literature. My second choice would be [name_f]Mary[/name_f], for many of the same reasons. One thing I noticed is that both of your children have biblical names, and that many of your other favorites ([name_f]Mary[/name_f], [name_f]Abigail[/name_f], [name_f]Leah[/name_f]) are biblical as well. Whether you happen to be religious or not, I do think many biblical names suit your style, and I was thinking about it when looking for recommendations for you. Some ideas:
[name_f]Kate[/name_f]- Shorter than [name_f]Caroline[/name_f], with many of the sounds of [name_f]Jane[/name_f], I think this name captures the essence of your style.
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f]- Perhaps trendier than your other children’s names, and it would mean that your girls share an initial, but I think it is a gorgeous name and would be perfect with [name_u]Sam[/name_u] and [name_f]Anna[/name_f].
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f]- I’ll admit that I don’t know how to articulate exactly why I chose this for you, but it was one of the first names I thought of and I decided to stick to it. A spunky, classic choice.
[name_f]Nora[/name_f]- Short, sweet, and with the same feel as [name_u]Sam[/name_u] and [name_f]Anna[/name_f].
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]- Another beautiful name that is less popular than [name_u]Sam[/name_u] and [name_f]Anna[/name_f], but still captures the same essence.
[name_f]Chloe[/name_f]- This seemed to be the perfect middle between [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] and [name_f]Leah[/name_f]. It maintains the sound of both, but meets in the middle in terms of number of syllables, meaning each of your children has a two-syllable name. While by no means a necessity, this does help them sound like a “fit”: [name_m]Samuel[/name_m], [name_f]Anna[/name_f], and [name_f]Chloe[/name_f]. I can imagine it already!
[name_f]Helen[/name_f]- Classic, with a rich history, just like the names of your other children. It is less popular than the names of your other children, but I think it still fits.
[name_u]Ariel[/name_u]- A bible name, with all the modern feminine chic of [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and [name_f]Mae[/name_f] but the sounds and substance of [name_f]Abigail[/name_f].
[name_f]Sarah[/name_f]- This might be just about perfect. Beautiful, biblical, classic, and popular. [name_m]Samuel[/name_m], [name_f]Anna[/name_f], and [name_f]Sarah[/name_f].
[name_f]Ruth[/name_f]- If you’re worried about [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] aging poorly, [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] might be a worthwhile consideration. It’s strong and distinctive, and would be a refreshing choice for a young girl and a professional name for a grown woman.
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]- Gosh, I love this for you. So lovely, and [name_m]Samuel[/name_m], [name_f]Anna[/name_f], and [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] are great together. Each name stands out of its own merits, but have shared origins and a shared vibe. Plus, it sits near the popularity level of your other favorites.
[name_f]Rebecca[/name_f] or [name_f]Rachel[/name_f]- I like these for the same reasons as [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f].
From those I listed, my favorites are [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f], [name_f]Ruth[/name_f], [name_u]Ariel[/name_u], and [name_f]Chloe[/name_f]. Apologies for the long-winded post, and best of luck choosing. Congrats!
