A Name for the Huntsman

Hello!

One of my favorite movies of all time is “[name_f]Snow[/name_f] White and the Huntsman.” I love the plot, the character development, the subtle sexual tension between [name_f]Snow[/name_f] White ([name_f]Kristen[/name_f] [name_m]Stewart[/name_m]) and the Huntsman ([name_u]Chris[/name_u] Hemsworth), the costumes, the dark fantasy, the special effects…everything. I literally jumped up and down when I found out they were making two more movies in what was suppose to be a trilogy. But then [name_f]Kristen[/name_f] had that very public affair with the director of the movie and the studio announced they were shelving plans for the sequel. So, instead of bashing K-[name_m]Stew[/name_m] on Twitter like everyone else, I decided to take matters into my own hands: write a story for myself.

In the movie, the Huntsman’s name is [name_m]Eric[/name_m], only that is too Disney for me. And the Huntsman I’m writing is going to be the main focus of my story–since [name_f]Snow[/name_f] White basically takes up most of the storyline anyway.

My Huntsman:
He is a male witch. He is in his late twenties, with dark brown hair, blue eyes, a square jaw, and a rugged, muscular frame. He was raised by his father in the [name_f]Scotland[/name_f] Highlands, in an all-male witch coven. He never knew his mother, who supposedly died when he was a baby. He grows up to be an experienced huntsman, which is how he gets the attention of both the Evil [name_f]Queen[/name_f] and the leaders of the uprising against her. He wants no part in it, but when his life becomes intertwined with [name_f]Snow[/name_f] White’s he really doesn’t have much of a choice. He the definition of an anti-hero.

This idea is still in the works, so there could be more changes. Plus, I’m still debating on whether to make him a witch or not, considering both [name_f]Snow[/name_f] White and the Evil [name_f]Queen[/name_f] are witches in my story. But his overall character would be the same: an anti-hero turned into a reluctant hero.

It takes place in medieval Europe, in both [name_f]England[/name_f] and [name_f]Scotland[/name_f]. What would you name the huntsman, first & last name?

Thanks for the help!

Since your huntsman was born and raised in [name_f]Scotland[/name_f] as it seems, I think you should give him an English/Scottish name that would not stand out in either nation.
