A new brother or sister for Colson and Briar

[name]Hi[/name] Nameberry, I’ve known about Nameberry for a while, but have only recently joined as my husband and I are having a difficult time deciding on our third child’s name. We already have a 4-year-old son named Colson [name]Bennett[/name] and a 2-year-old daughter named [name]Briar[/name] [name]Avalon[/name]. We are looking for something “peppy” and bright. We have not found out whether we are having a boy or a girl.

We have been having a lot of trouble agreeing on any names at all. We both love [name]Roxy[/name] for a girl but we don’t like [name]Roxanne[/name] or [name]Roxanna[/name] and can’t see [name]Roxy[/name] as anything more than a nickname. Any suggestions on full names for [name]Roxy[/name]? Other names we like for girls are [name]Kenna[/name], Brookley, [name]Monet[/name], [name]Maelys[/name], and Kipling. We think [name]Kenna[/name], Brookley, and Kipling are all lovely, but something just doesn’t seem right to us. We also quite like [name]Monet[/name] and [name]Maelys[/name] (pronounced [name]May[/name]-ah-lees) but feel they don’t match our other children’s names. Plus, we fear all these names are a little too offbeat for us, and would prefer something a [name]TINY[/name] bit more “normal”. [name]Do[/name] you think our possible choices are too “weird”? For girls we like upbeat, feminine names.

For boys we have agreed on barely any names. We are again considering Kipling but think it’s a little too “weak”. Boys names we have considered in the past are [name]Colter[/name], [name]Fletcher[/name], and [name]Wilder[/name].

All suggestions are welcome and greatly appreciated!

[name]HI[/name] there!
Congrats on the pregnancy! Colson and [name]Briar[/name] are awesome names, kudos mama!

I agree, [name]Roxy[/name] is the coolest nickname ever. I don’t mind [name]Roxanne[/name] as a full name for her, but i don’t think she is the perfect fit with Colson and [name]Briar[/name]. It seems like you like fun, high energy names, and you might consider:

If you like the literary angle, what about Kesey - as in [name]Ken[/name] [name]Kesey[/name], writer of [name]One[/name] Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest? Could be good for boy or girl. Especially as a middle name. Plus, his writing is edgy, cutting and intelligent. A great namesake!
