We have 8 weeks to go, and we aren’t even close to agreeing on a name for a boy. We are <mostly> settled on [name_f]Leona[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f], should this little one be a girl. My husband’s family always uses the father’s first name as a middle name, so the middle name would have to be [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] for a boy. Our last name is one syllable, and begins with S…it almost goes with everything.
I like [name_m]Leander[/name_m] (ok, so I love [name_m]Leander[/name_m]), [name_m]Harrison[/name_m], [name_u]Arlo[/name_u] and [name_u]Glenn[/name_u] (my husband HATES [name_u]Glenn[/name_u], so it’s pretty much out), and his picks are [name_m]Edward[/name_m], [name_m]Walter[/name_m], [name_m]Henry[/name_m] or [name_m]Oscar[/name_m]. I like [name_m]Henry[/name_m], but it’s just too popular (top 10 in our state!!). I could be persuaded to give in on [name_m]Edward[/name_m] because it was my grandfather’s name, but I just don’t think it goes with [name_f]Brynn[/name_f] and [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]…or does it? [name_m]Calvin[/name_m] was suggested to us recently and though neither of us love it, we both like it. I feel like I’ve looked at so many names and am missing something obvious that we would both like. Help!

I really like [name_m]Henry[/name_m], [name_m]Calvin[/name_m] and [name_m]Harrison[/name_m]! But if neither of you love [name_m]Calvin[/name_m], it is probably not the right name. It has really grown on me though, so you never know! Here are some others that seem to be either your style, his style or a compromise (or maybe none of the above!:-),

One name in particular I would suggest is [name_m]Graham[/name_m]; [name_f]Brynn[/name_f], [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] and [name_m]Graham[/name_m]! Here are some suggestions I hope you both like:

Thanks for all the suggestions; you ladies definitely know how to read someone’s name style! I’ve glossed over some of these before, but when someone else suggests them, they sound fresh! (Like [name_m]Graham[/name_m]!) I’ll have to propose a few to the hubby and see what happens…
What about [name_m]Ward[/name_m] as a way to honor [name_m]Edward[/name_m]? I really like [name_f]Brynn[/name_f], [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], and [name_m]Ward[/name_m] as a sibset!
[name_m]Edmund[/name_m] is also on our short list as a possible alternative. To me it sounds ‘friendlier’ than [name_m]Edward[/name_m]…if that makes any sense at all!
