A nickname other than Annie

My husband and I have settled on [name]Annalie[/name]/[name]Annalee[/name] for a first name. Middle name is yet to be determined. Suddenly it just occurred to me that she could be stuck as [name]Annie[/name] for the rest of her life! I like [name]Annie[/name], but what other more unique nickname options are out there that we could use??? I am terrible at coming up with nicknames, so I thought I would ask!

Some are a bit of a stretch:

[name]Ann[/name]
[name]Anna[/name]
[name]Allie[/name]
[name]Lea[/name]
[name]Lily[/name]
[name]Lee[/name]
[name]Lee[/name]-[name]Lee[/name]
[name]Nelly[/name]
[name]Nell[/name]
[name]Nala[/name]
[name]Nia[/name]
Nee-Nee
[name]Lana[/name]
[name]Lena[/name]
[name]Bee[/name]
[name]Linn[/name]
Nina

Hmmm, this is a tough one. Nalie? (nah-lee) or maybe [name]Nell[/name] if you spell it [name]Annelie[/name]?

I could see [name]Lee[/name]-lee happening (though I am not really a fan of [name]Lee[/name]-lee Sobieski and that is what I would think of).
In my family, nicknames seem to have come from the toddler age siblings attempts at pronouncing the baby name- my niece [name]Leslie[/name] is Ley-Ley and my brother [name]Edward[/name] [name]Abraham[/name] was called [name]Ham[/name] and Hammer til he hit 6th grade. I actually REALLY love the suggestion of [name]Bee[/name], though I don’t know why or if I could convince the hubby to accept that one. That is the perfect example of the type of unique/hip yet classic preppy nickname I would never have thought of!!!

Maybe we need to settle on the middle name and see if anything could come from that or the combo of the 1st and middle… not sure. I’m considering starting a thread asking for suggestions on that too! I have loved names for so long that it is now so hard to just pick!

Yeah, that’s a good idea to take a nickname from the first and middle names combined! The only nicknames I can think of that I really like are [name]Anna[/name] and [name]Lia[/name]. I think those would both be pretty, and I also like [name]Annie[/name].

Also, I love/want a nickname that is a great combo of classic/vintage/prepster/headed for [name]Harvard[/name]. And I like them to be out there!
For example, I love [name]Pippa[/name] for Phillippa but never would have thought of it. If you had asked me, I would have only been able to come up with [name]Philly[/name] for Phillippa because I am stuck on nick names that include the same exact spelling and root. Is there anything creative for [name]Annalee[/name]? Really be creative and stretch it past [name]Anna[/name], [name]Annie[/name], and [name]Lee[/name]!

[name]Annalie[/name] “[name]Annie[/name]”
[name]Annalie[/name] “[name]Lee[/name]”
[name]Annalie[/name] “[name]Anna[/name]”
[name]Annalie[/name] “[name]Leah[/name]”
[name]Annalie[/name] “[name]Lee[/name] lee”
[name]Annalie[/name] “[name]Ayla[/name]???” “[name]Allie[/name]???”

[name]Allie[/name] works! Not too sure about [name]Ayla[/name] but that could work, too! [name]How[/name] about…

Aylie
Annlie
[name]Andie[/name]
[name]Nat[/name]
[name]Nattie[/name]
[name]Amy[/name]
[name]Nan[/name]
