I tend to lean towards Russian / Slavic names, I also really like [name_u]Irish[/name_u] and Scottish names

That is cool! Which are your favourite Russian / Slavic names? I think that I would lean for [name_f]Róza[/name_f], Nicolay, [name_f]Doroteya[/name_f], [name_m]Fyodor[/name_m] and others!
They’re mostly Finnish names (as I’m Finnish!) but I also like a lot of [name_u]French[/name_u], Latin, [name_m]German[/name_m], Latvian and Swedish names!

I always considered [name_f]Larissa[/name_f] more as [name_m]German[/name_m], [name_m]Damien[/name_m] as [name_u]French[/name_u], [name_f]Zariya[/name_f] more as Arabic, actually! It is interesting how perspectives change

Definitely Spanish! I’d love to live and raise kids (so, name them!) in a Spanish speaking country when I’m older.
Something I’ve also been collecting recently are Swahili names! [name_f]My[/name_f] best friend is from [name_u]Kenya[/name_u] and her parents know I love names, so they always suggest Swahili names to me.

i feel like i have a lot of irish names on my list! especially for boys: finnegan, nolan, rory, ronan/rowan, declan, and brennan. also scottish names like ian and callum!

I am from [name_f]Italy[/name_f] myself but a lot of my favourite names are [name_m]German[/name_m]! Actually I would like to live in [name_f]Austria[/name_f] or Süd Tirol in the future

Name origins
[name_m]Just[/name_m] so you know, you shouldn’t trust the origins lists on Nameberry. Something went wrong with them (and they can’t change it back) so they missattribute a lot of names. For origins it it better to check other sites, even though Nameberry is good for many other things
Anyway my list is mostly Swedish, with a fair bit of [name_m]German[/name_m], [name_f]English[/name_f], [name_u]French[/name_u], Norweigan, and [name_m]Danish[/name_m]. Some other scattered languages too, but mostly those. I’m from [name_u]Sweden[/name_u], so… yeah.

Polish.
I have [name_u]French[/name_u] roots, so overwhelmingly French; I am completely obsessed with [name_f]Leonor[/name_f] right now though!
Greek or Latin! Sometimes [name_u]Irish[/name_u], Scandinavian and Sanskrit.
Italian, Spanish, Turkish with some Arabic and Sanskrit. Recently I’ve been obsessing over Bulgarian names!
Spanish, because I’m Latino (besides just adoring the names), the majority of my favorite names are Spanish. Other than that probably Arabic, I just think they’re purely stunning (and my culture has a very heavy Arab influence, besides me having some Arab heritage), Basque and Catalan (also part of my heritage). I also think Romanian names are just gorgeous

I have so many non-English names on my list, and they are all Ukrainian/Slavic, Spanish, Norse, or Gaelic. These are all cultures that I either have heritage from or am strongly connected too, so I think I just find the names special.
