Wondering if the name Roseline [name_f]Kathryn[/name_f] [name_m]Ritter[/name_m] is too much… something.
[name_f]Rose[/name_f] is my middle name, [name_f]Eileen[/name_f] is my husband’s grandma, and [name_f]Kathryn[/name_f] is my grandma. Roseline would be pronounced: [name_f]Rose[/name_f]-eh-leen. We would probably end up calling her [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosie[/name_f], but I wasn’t sure about using just [name_f]Rose[/name_f] as the fn, finding the sound of [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_m]Ritter[/name_m] to be very curt.
[name_m]Just[/name_m] looking for thoughts or ideas! Thanks!
It is a bit much on the R sound, I’m afraid. I don’t think it is awful, though! She might not even be a [name_m]Ritter[/name_m] all of her life and middle names don’t come up too often, so I think you could actually be safe if you choose to keep this combo!
I understand that the names have meaning to you and that should be honored. The only suggestions I can think of right now would be to change [name_f]Kathryn[/name_f] to something similar. You could combine [name_f]Eileen[/name_f] and [name_f]Kathryn[/name_f] to form [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f]. [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f] [name_m]Ritter[/name_m] (or other [name_f]Rose[/name_f] names like [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] or [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]) paired with [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f] break up the R sounds. You can still use the honor names, just in a different way
Oh, [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f] is stunning! Roseline is lovely, but I automatically said [name_f]Rose[/name_f] uh line. I personally love [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_m]Ritter[/name_m].
I actually think that Roseline [name_f]Kathryn[/name_f] [name_m]Ritter[/name_m] is a lovely combination, with a great melodic flow to it. However I also like the other poster’s suggestion of [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f] or [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f] [name_m]Ritter[/name_m]. [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] is definitely a longer form that I prefer to Roseline.
