A second vote! HELP!!!

See the results of this poll: Which one?!

Respondents: 57 (This poll is closed)

  • Thatcher and Bridge : 17 (30%)
  • Thatcher and Bridger (nn Bridge/Ridge) : 17 (30%)
  • Thatcher and Ridge: 23 (40%)

I actually know someone named [name_m]Ridge[/name_m]. I have never heard of the other two used as names.

I voted [name_m]Ridge[/name_m], just personal preference I guess

The only time I’ve heard “[name_m]Bridge[/name_m]” used as a name is as a nn for [name_f]Bridget[/name_f].

I voted [name_m]Ridge[/name_m], though I’m not really fond (just in comparison)

I like [name_m]Thatcher[/name_m] all right.

I like [name_m]Bridger[/name_m] better than [name_m]Bridge[/name_m] and [name_m]Ridge[/name_m] as a full name, but [name_m]Thatcher[/name_m] and [name_m]Bridger[/name_m] sounds a bit matchy. You could switch things around to
[name_m]Thatcher[/name_m] [name_m]Harvey[/name_m] and [name_u]Hollis[/name_u] [name_m]Bridger[/name_m]
[name_m]Harvey[/name_m] [name_m]Thatcher[/name_m] and [name_m]Bridger[/name_m] [name_u]Hollis[/name_u]
[name_m]Thatcher[/name_m] [name_u]Hollis[/name_u] and [name_m]Harvey[/name_m] [name_m]Bridger[/name_m]

but otherwise my vote is for [name_m]Thatcher[/name_m] [name_m]Harvey[/name_m] and [name_m]Ridge[/name_m] [name_u]Hollis[/name_u].

I’d avoid [name_m]Thatcher[/name_m] and [name_m]Bridger[/name_m] since they have the same ending sound.

I like the sound of [name_m]Ridge[/name_m] and [name_m]Thatcher[/name_m]
A co-worker had a boy a few months ago and named him [name_m]Ridge[/name_m] [name_m]Kenneth[/name_m]… so cute!

@emsky I like the idea of [name_m]Thatcher[/name_m] and [name_u]Hollis[/name_u] a lot :slight_smile:

[name_f]My[/name_f] favorite would be [name_m]Thatcher[/name_m] and [name_m]Bridger[/name_m], second choice would be [name_m]Thatcher[/name_m] and [name_m]Ridge[/name_m].

I voted for [name_m]Thatcher[/name_m] and [name_m]Bridger[/name_m] because [name_m]Thatcher[/name_m] is pretty familiar as a name(It broke into the top 1000 this year) and [name_m]Bridger[/name_m] is more familiar as a name than [name_m]Ridge[/name_m] or [name_m]Bridge[/name_m]. I do like [name_m]Bridge[/name_m] and [name_m]Ridge[/name_m] though.

I probably wouldn’t use [name_m]Bridger[/name_m] with [name_m]Thatcher[/name_m] due to their identical -er endings. The only time I’ve ever heard [name_m]Bridge[/name_m] as a name is as nickname for [name_f]Bridget[/name_f], and so overall, I will go with [name_m]Ridge[/name_m].

In my personal opinion, all the names are handsome. I voted Thatcher and Bridger, because on your previous posts, that is where my mind kept taking Thatcher and Bridge… Like I subconsciously “wanted” them to match. They are both more obviously surnames than Bridge or Ridge, so it just works. (Bridge or Ridge are perfect nicknames.)

If you choose Thatcher and Bridge, you may have some OCD people like me who will try to call Bridge “Bridger!” So they will just need a gentle correction.

We berries worry a lot about avoiding repeating sounds and letters… but the truth is, (especially for twins) it can help names to seem cohesive and work together as a pair. I think as long as each name is strong alone, they can share sounds without a problem. So Kailey and Bailey… maybe not. Thatcher and Bridger… sure!

I voted for [name_m]Bridger[/name_m] because I use to live in [name_u]Montana[/name_u] near the gorgeous [name_m]Bridger[/name_m] Mountain [name_m]Range[/name_m] where we would ski at [name_m]Bridger[/name_m] Bowl. [name_m]Bridger[/name_m] is top 100 boy name in MT. I wouldn’t worry about being too matchy-matchy with [name_m]Thatcher[/name_m] and [name_m]Bridger[/name_m] as the names go very well with your “-er” names [name_m]Rivers[/name_m] and [name_f]Summer[/name_f]. Congratulations on your baby boys!
