We are expecting our second child in [name]December[/name] and have a little boy named [name]Henry[/name] [name]Joseph[/name]. I would love suggestions and any input. My husband basically refuses to discuss it until we find out what we are having, but I want a head start We’d like the name to sound nice with [name]Henry[/name]'s but are not overly concerned with a perfect match. Here are a few ideas:
Girls:
[name]Annabel[/name]
[name]Ruby[/name]
[name]Margaret[/name] (nn: [name]Daisy[/name], or [name]Molly[/name])
[name]Penelope[/name]
[name]Amelia[/name] (popular and already used in extended family but I love it)
[name]Georgia[/name]/[name]Georgianna[/name]
[name]Cecily[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] (nn [name]Lydie[/name])
Boys: (These are SO much harder)
[name]Hudson[/name]
[name]Finn[/name]
[name]Callum[/name]
[name]Jasper[/name]
[name]Everett[/name]
[name]Felix[/name]
We are thinking the family name of [name]Edward[/name] as a mn for a boy and ms of either [name]Caroline[/name] or [name]Catherine[/name] for a girl.
Thanks so much. I look forward to seeing your suggestions!
I [name]LOVE[/name] the name [name]Georgianna[/name] too, but [name]Georgia[/name] flows much better with the middle names [name]Caroline[/name] or [name]Catherine[/name].
Boy name: If you have a multi-syllable last name… [name]Finn[/name] [name]Edward[/name]
[name]Hi[/name]! I don’t have time at the moment to comment on your names (though I will tomorrow!), but I noticed [name]Hudson[/name] is on your list. As you already have a [name]Henry[/name], I’d stay away from [name]Hudson[/name]. [name]Henry[/name] [name]Hudson[/name] was the famous explorer that “discovered” the area that is New [name]York[/name] City and the [name]Hudson[/name] [name]River[/name]. People might think you’re naming your kids after him. [name]Just[/name] a heads up!
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Catherine[/name]! I love it - it’s my favorite girls’ name, for sure! Perfect with [name]Henry[/name] (which just so happens to be my favorite boys’ name, too). Otherwise, I also like [name]Annabel[/name], [name]Margaret[/name], and [name]Georgia[/name] with [name]Henry[/name]. Some new girl suggestions are:
As for boys, I quite like [name]Callum[/name] and [name]Felix[/name] with [name]Henry[/name]. Many of the boys’ names on your list feel a bit trendier (or popular) than [name]Henry[/name], which is a classic. So, here are some more ideas:
Thanks everyone! Great point on [name]Hudson[/name]. Also, not sure what you mean by “might as well go with [name]Jack[/name]” but it is definitely not one of my favorite names. We know 1000 Jacksons and while it is a perfectly good name, I’m not a big fan. Any other boy suggestions? I do like [name]Oliver[/name]. [name]Do[/name] you think it sounds too “soft” though with [name]Henry[/name]? [name]Nathaniel[/name] was one I brought up with my husband, but he vetoed it.
What about [name]Theodore[/name] [name]Edward[/name]? I might add it to our list. We need more suggestions.
