i am expecting our second, and we have begun to brainstorm names. my three year old is named max marion and we aren’t sure if we are having a boy or a girl yet. my husband’s grandparents passed since the birth of our son, and we would like to honor them in some way. His grandfather was frank (francis) and his grandmother had the coolest nickname - weets - that will definitely be the middle name if we have a girl. if we use francis as the first name for a boy, we will likely use the middle name as nickname.
here are some of our faves, i would love to hear more! we tend towards shorter spunky names, or nickname possibilities.

I have heard a few stories about the origin of weets - most revolve around a box of wheaties?! I know, maybe an odd thing to name your child after but she was just the coolest woman and I/we miss her so much. Her offbeat nickname was part of her and since we are a little adventurous with names we think it is perfect. Her first name was [name_f]Katherine[/name_f]

My aunt is named [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] and was given the nickname Pud (like Pudding) when she was little. Random but it stuck. Of your girl combos, I really like [name_f]Pippa[/name_f] Weets & [name_f]Georgeanna[/name_f] Weets (I prefer spelling [name_f]Georgiana[/name_f] even though [name_f]Georgeanna[/name_f] gives you the more straight forward pronunciation), [name_u]Francis[/name_u] Weets “[name_u]Frankie[/name_u]” is also quite adorable.
I’m partial to [name_f]Georgiana[/name_f] and wanted to use it in the middle spot for our daughter due any day now but looks like it will be put on the back burner for a possible sibling name. [name_u]Max[/name_u] & [name_f]Georgeanna[/name_f] are so sweet together for siblings. As are [name_u]Max[/name_u] & [name_f]Pippa[/name_f] and [name_u]Max[/name_u] & [name_u]Frankie[/name_u].
