Hi, I’m in need of advice! We’re trying to finalize names for our two daughters (our last name starts with D). And we’re considering ways to honor some family names (Gold + names that start with B, H, L, and W). I’d LOVE your recommendations!!
Daughter 1:
Goldie Berney (don’t love the double “ee” sound)
Goldie Genevieve (could also go by Gigi at some point)
Goldie Harlowe
Goldie Lillian

[name_f]Goldie[/name_f] [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] + [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] Berney (Estie) are my favorites here. [name_f]Love[/name_f] the starry/golden imagery of them together while still maintaining some individuality. Each combo has one name with an -ee ending and one [name_m]French[/name_m] name, which is also pleasing to me as a name nerd, ha!
[name_f]Goldie[/name_f] and [name_f]Birdie[/name_f] are a bit too close together for me. And while I love [name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Miriam[/name_f], I like the idea of each having a family name (I’m assuming Berney is a family name?). [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] kind of seems like a lot of name next to [name_f]Goldie[/name_f], even with the nickname option.
[name_f]Goldie[/name_f] [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] and [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] [name_f]Harlowe[/name_f] “Gigi and Estie” is definitely my fave combo from your list
I love the idea of [name_f]Goldie[/name_f] [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] and [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_f]Harlowe[/name_f] – although the rhyming might be a dealbreaker? But maybe not, since [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] is only a middle!
Also, I just wanted to say that I absolutely adore the Old Hollywood vibe you have here!
I think [name_f]Goldie[/name_f] and [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] “Estie” are cute together.
I would go with [name_f]Goldie[/name_f] [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] (both because it flows well and gives a nickname option) and [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] [name_f]Harlowe[/name_f] (just because that is a beautiful full name, I love it)
[name_f]Goldie[/name_f] [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] and [name_f]Birdie[/name_f] [name_f]Harlowe[/name_f] would be gorgeous!
I also really like the idea of [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] [name_f]Harlowe[/name_f] for daughter 2.

If you wanted to go with [name_f]Goldie[/name_f] B, I think [name_f]Goldie[/name_f] [name_f]Bernice[/name_f] flows better than [name_f]Goldie[/name_f] Berney.
I love [name_f]Goldie[/name_f] [name_f]Harlowe[/name_f] as a first and middle name pair, and it’s definitely my favourite for daughter 1!
For daughter 2, my favourite would be [name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Miriam[/name_f]! But I’d also suggest [name_f]Birdie[/name_f] [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] and [name_f]Estie[/name_f] [name_f]Margot[/name_f]
I might be in the minority but I am kind of here for [name_f]Goldie[/name_f] and [name_f]Birdie[/name_f]. So cute. I really like [name_f]Goldie[/name_f] [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f], and [name_f]Gigi[/name_f] is such a sweet nickname.
[name_f]My[/name_f] second choice would be [name_f]Margot[/name_f]. I think there’s this awesome old Hollywood feel to [name_f]Goldie[/name_f] and [name_f]Margot[/name_f]. I would do [name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] as a combo. Could the L in the middle honour?
