A sister for Beatrix and Eloise

We are expecting our third daughter in [name]September[/name] and I’m looking for names that fit with [name]Beatrix[/name] (who currently goes by [name]Bebe[/name]) and [name]Eloise[/name]. Middle name will likely be either [name]Margaret[/name] or [name]Marcella[/name] depending on which fits better with the first name. Our last name is one syllable, beginning with a hard “G”.

Currently on our short list:
[name]Annabel[/name]
[name]Penelope[/name]
[name]Charlotte[/name]
[name]Rosalie[/name]

If it isn’t obvious, we tend to like names with an older feel, that aren’t super common but also won’t leave people scratching their heads. I’m not crazy about the way one syllable first names sound with our last name. Would love any suggestions!

I love your daughters names and from your list, I really like [name]Penelope[/name] and [name]Rosalie[/name],I think they go wonderfully - but the first thing to pop into my mind was [name]Ramona[/name] for some odd reason. It’s very quirky and full of spunk but is most definitely vintage and not weird or unheard of. The only one I [name]DON[/name]'T like for you on your list is [name]Charlotte[/name]. Nice enough name, nothing really wrong with it - but it’s becoming very popular and I see it ALL the time, it feels like a very predictable and overdone choice, especially compared to how rare your other daughters names are.

I actually feel the same way about [name]Charlotte[/name] – my husband put that one on the list and he so rarely makes productive contributions to the naming conversation, I’m trying to be respectful  I do like “[name]Charlie[/name]” as a nn for a little girl though.

[name]Ramona[/name] is unfortunately the name of my parents’ current dog! Otherwise I agree that it would go great with our girls’ names

1 [name]Beatrix[/name], [name]Eloise[/name] and [name]Charlotte[/name]
2 [name]Beatrix[/name], [name]Eloise[/name] and [name]Annabel[/name]

I love [name]Rosalie[/name] but it’s rhymey with [name]Eloise[/name] (same with [name]Penelope[/name])

Other Suggestions

[name]Rosamund[/name]/[name]Rosalind[/name] (instead of [name]Rosalie[/name])
[name]Susannah[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name]
[name]Adeline[/name]
[name]Matilda[/name]
[name]Amabel[/name]
[name]Imogen[/name]
[name]Madeleine[/name]
[name]Harriet[/name] nn [name]Hattie[/name]
[name]Corinna[/name]
[name]Sonia[/name]
[name]Caroline[/name]
[name]Lillian[/name]
[name]Juliet[/name]
[name]Philippa[/name]
[name]Clementine[/name]
[name]Christabel[/name]

Oh, I have always loved [name]Clementine[/name], but I can’t figure out a good nickname. I suppose it doesn’t need one, we do mostly call our [name]Eloise[/name] by her full name which is the same number of syllables. [name]Lydia[/name] and [name]Juliet[/name] are two others that I love.

Thank you for all the great suggestions!

I just remembered one other that I like – [name]Adelaide[/name].

[name]Clementine[/name] - nn [name]Clemmie[/name], [name]Emmy[/name], even Menty or [name]Minty[/name]

Ooooh, I love the nn [name]Emmy[/name] for [name]Clementine[/name]! Thank you

Of your original list, I think I like [name]Penelope[/name] and [name]Rosalie[/name] the best.

I think [name]Cleo[/name] is a supercute nickname option for [name]Clementine[/name], which I also adore as a full name. I like [name]Adelaide[/name] with [name]Beatrix[/name] and [name]Eloise[/name]… lots of the same letters and sounds, same number of syllables.

I never thought of [name]Emmy[/name], but I love that, too!

I think [name]Annabel[/name] or [name]Adelaide[/name] goes best- but I do love [name]Rosalie[/name]. It is matchy with [name]Eloise[/name] though.

Other ideas:

[name]Eloise[/name], [name]Beatrix[/name] and

[name]Vivian[/name]
[name]Emmeline[/name]
[name]Willa[/name]
[name]Coraline[/name]
[name]Tessa[/name]
[name]Annalise[/name]
[name]Annalie[/name]
[name]Amelia[/name]
[name]Felicity[/name]

I have a great great gram by the name of [name]Adelaide[/name] [name]Pearl[/name] and she went by [name]Lydia[/name]. I also think Lady is a cute nickname for [name]Adelaide[/name].

With your sibset, I like [name]Juliet[/name], [name]Adelaide[/name], [name]Clementine[/name], [name]Annabel[/name], and [name]Charlotte[/name] (in this order). [name]Juliet[/name] [name]Marcella[/name] a lovely combination!

Some other possibilities:

Great names! Many other people have said [name]Ramona[/name] anI think it fits perfectly! But [name]Clementine[/name] would be adorable too! [name]Bebe[/name], [name]Eloise[/name] and [name]Emmy[/name]! What a cute sibset. Others that I think would fit:
[name]Leonie[/name]
[name]Lenora[/name]
[name]Leona[/name]
[name]Cecelia[/name]
[name]Celia[/name]
[name]Matilda[/name]
[name]Cora[/name]

Hmm…
I love your style, [name]Eloise[/name] and [name]Beatrix[/name] are stunning choices. So whatever you go with it’ll be a great choice
[name]Annabel[/name] - lovely elegant name very sweet and airy. I don’t know whether she fits with [name]Eloise[/name], [name]Beatrix[/name] they have a spunk that [name]Annabel[/name] doesn’t really have. [name]Annabel[/name] is more airy and light whereas [name]Beatrix[/name] and [name]Eloise[/name] are spunky.

[name]Penelope[/name] - I love it! [name]Penelope[/name] is a beautiful choice that works better with [name]Eloise[/name] and [name]Beatrix[/name] than [name]Annabel[/name]. [name]Penelope[/name] has spunk and elegance like [name]Eloise[/name] and [name]Beatrix[/name]. I also like that [name]Penelope[/name] has the nickname [name]Penny[/name] along with [name]Bebe[/name] and [name]Elle[/name] (potential nickname for [name]Eloise[/name]) I think it’s lovely.

[name]Charlotte[/name] - I love this choice, [name]Charlotte[/name] is timely and vintage. I also adore the nickname ‘[name]Lottie[/name]’ for [name]Charlotte[/name]. Yet in my eyes even though [name]Charlotte[/name] is beautiful I think in a way she doesn’t work with [name]Eloise[/name] and [name]Beatrix[/name] because she’s not as unusual.

[name]Rosalie[/name] - my second favourite girl’s name after [name]Jane[/name]. [name]Rosalie[/name] is stunning and very pretty. Despite awful Twilight associations I still love [name]Rosalie[/name], she’s so elegant and airy like [name]Annabel[/name] but has the spunk of [name]Eloise[/name] and [name]Beatrix[/name]. Furthermore [name]Rosalie[/name] is perfect with [name]Eloise[/name] and [name]Beatrix[/name] - absolutely love it. My favourite followed by [name]Penelope[/name].

My vote is for [name]Penelope[/name]

[name]Love[/name] your daughters’ names.

With them, love love [name]Adelaide[/name] - other nns [name]Della[/name], [name]Addie[/name], [name]Ada[/name]

Also love [name]Penelope[/name] with your set. [name]Gemma[/name] too. Also [name]Amabel[/name].

[name]Charlotte[/name] and [name]Lillian[/name] are too popular for this set.

So many great options. Can’t wait to see what you choose.

We have very similar taste in names! With [name]Beatrix[/name] and [name]Eloise[/name] I love the name [name]Penelope[/name]. Some other suggestions for you that I like are [name]Matilda[/name] and [name]Felicity[/name].

The only one that sticks out to me on the list is [name]Charlotte[/name]. It is really pretty and will stay that way as she gets older. I love the nn [name]Lottie[/name] for [name]Charlotte[/name]. [name]Annabel[/name] is ok, but I have started to see a lot of them lately. I would only use it if she had a nn like [name]Anna[/name] or [name]Annie[/name]. I don’t like [name]Penelope[/name] for a little girl. [name]Rosalie[/name] is very pretty but it kind of sounds matchy with [name]Eloise[/name], so I wouldn’t use it.

The first thing that came to mind was [name]Matilda[/name] “[name]Tillie[/name]” but I like [name]Charlotte[/name] from your list.

I really like all the names on your girls list!
