We just found out that our second child is a girl! We have a son, [name]Caspian[/name] [name]Purcell[/name], and I’m looking for a girl’s name that’s equally unusual and creative. Some names we like are:
[name]Caspian[/name] is a great name to work with! From your list I like [name]Octavia[/name] and [name]Winona[/name], and I also like pp’s suggestion of [name]Xanthe[/name].
I love [name]Octavia[/name] and [name]Ophelia[/name] from your list to go with big brother [name]Caspian[/name] (also a big favorite of mine! great name!) I saw that your DH didn’t like [name]Electra[/name]… maybe [name]Electa[/name]? I prefer that one. And I love [name]Magnolia[/name], but it doesn’t pair very well with [name]Caspian[/name].
[name]How[/name] about…
[name]Cordelia[/name]
[name]Cornelia[/name] (don’t know how you feel about alliteration but I like it)
[name]Romilly[/name]
[name]Elodie[/name]
[name]Philippa[/name]
I think [name]Caspian[/name] and [name]Lucinda[/name] go wonderfully! [name]Caspian[/name] and [name]Octavia[/name] are also nice together.
I also like, with [name]Caspian[/name]:
[name]Cordelia[/name]
[name]Isadora[/name]
[name]Minerva[/name]
[name]Penelope[/name]
[name]Augusta[/name]
[name]Cornelia[/name]
[name]Sidonia[/name]
[name]Aurelia[/name]
[name]Valentina[/name]
So many of these great names were on our early list, but my husband vetoed most of them. I love [name]Verity[/name], but my name is [name]Clarity[/name] and that would lend to some confusion.
I love the idea of another geography-inspired name, but I think another [name]Narnia[/name] name would be overkill. My husband likes [name]Octavia[/name] because he’s a fan of the author [name]Octavia[/name] [name]Butler[/name]. Another literary name would be fine, too, as long as it isn’t too common.
[name]Caspian[/name] has chosen “Snuggleberry” and “Stormasaurus” as his top baby names.
Ooh, I love [name]Caspian[/name]! [name]Just[/name] for the record, I think Snuggleberry and Stormasaurus would both be great choices. Here are some other suggestions. Sorry for any repeats.
