A sister for Finn & Piper

All hypothetical/to store away for future use  [name_u]Finn[/name_u] is only 3 months old so it’ll be awhile before we give him another sibling. [name_f]My[/name_f] husband and I struggle to find names we both like enough to use, so I like to have huge lists compiled way ahead of time because then it stresses me out less.

We’ve got a [name_u]Piper[/name_u] [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] and a [name_m]Finnegan[/name_m] [name_u]Lee[/name_u].

I LOVE nature names, and I’m a huge book nerd so I love literary names. I really dislike the soft “g” sound. Like in [name_f]Georgia[/name_f], [name_u]Sage[/name_u], etc. These are some that I’m really liking lately, if that gives you an idea of my style:

[name_u]Wren[/name_u]
Winter (not sure if it would work with our surname, guilty pleasure?)
Willow
Evelyn (becoming super popular but it was my great grandma’a name)
Violet
[name_u]Blair[/name_u]
[name_u]Rowan[/name_u]
[name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_f]Ella[/name_f]
[name_f]Beyla[/name_f] ([name_u]Bay[/name_u]-luh)
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]
[name_f]Marceline[/name_f] ([name_f]Mar[/name_f]-suh-lean)
[name_f]Marlee[/name_f]

Piper [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] and [name_m]Finnegan[/name_m] [name_u]Lee[/name_u] are stunning.

I love [name_u]Wren[/name_u], Wiillow, [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] and [name_f]Alice[/name_f]!

Oops! Sorry for the repeats! @Greyblue and I were very much on the same page!

I really like [name_f]Elowen[/name_f]! [name_u]Arden[/name_u] was one I loved for a long time, but I’m leaning toward [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] as an honor middle name and then you get [name_u]Arden[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]…[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_u]Arden[/name_u] the brand throws me off.
[name_u]Briar[/name_u] is BEAUTIFUL! But does [name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_m]Tucker[/name_m] sound too much like Friar [name_m]Tuck[/name_m]?

Those are all so lovely  Is [name_f]Cassia[/name_f] pronounced [name_f]Cassie[/name_f]-uh or [name_m]Cash[/name_m]-uh?

I pronounce it [name_f]Cassie[/name_f]-uh!

I adore [name_u]Piper[/name_u] [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] and [name_m]Finnegan[/name_m] [name_u]Lee[/name_u]! We share some similar tastes regarding nature and literary names (:

[name_f]My[/name_f] favorites from your list:
[name_f]Marceline[/name_f] (not super common but beautiful and matches the style of the others imo)
[name_u]Willow[/name_u] (distinct but fits with others)
[name_u]Wren[/name_u] (this might work better as a middle since [name_u]Finn[/name_u] & [name_u]Wren[/name_u] rhyme. perhaps [name_f]Wrenley[/name_f] as a first?)

I personally think [name_f]Marceline[/name_f] [name_u]Willow[/name_u] is a gorgeous combo that goes wonderfully with the others. If you are in love w/ [name_f]Marlee[/name_f], there’s definite nn potential there.

Additional suggestions (middle or first):
[name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_u]Shiloh[/name_u]
[name_f]Acacia[/name_f]
[name_u]Emerson[/name_u] “[name_f]Em[/name_f]/Emery”
[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] (I enjoy this paired with [name_u]Willow[/name_u] as well)
[name_f]Maeve[/name_f]
[name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] (I think fits very well in style with [name_u]Piper[/name_u] and [name_m]Finnegan[/name_m])
[name_f]Anais[/name_f]
[name_u]Ellis[/name_u]
[name_f]Josephine[/name_f] “[name_u]Jo[/name_u]”
[name_f]Olive[/name_f]

All the luck to you! (edit: I was typing when others were. count any repeats as second votes!)

Evangeline has been a favorite of mine forever but I can’t get my husband on board with it :sob:

I love love LOVE [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f]. Huge Lumineers fan! [name_f]My[/name_f] husband, on the other hand, has vetoed it :sob:
And I completely forgot about [name_f]Wrenley[/name_f]! Thank you for the reminder! Although I would probably go with [name_m]Renly[/name_m], after the GOT character :relaxed: I fell in love with that name while reading the series and I don’t know how it managed to slip my mind

I also love [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] a lot (due to the song lol)! And no problem! [name_m]Renly[/name_m] is a nice spelling of it!

Hi there.

Here are my thoughts on your list:

Georgia-It’s lovely & southern & goes great w/Piper & [name_u]Finn[/name_u].

Sage-It’s not my personal favorite, but I can see the appeal & it goes perfectly w/your crew as well.

Wren-I think that this fits in pretty well style-wise, but is it too close to [name_u]Finn[/name_u]?

Winter-Not my favorite, but it’s fine. Sounds a little harsh to me. Maybe because I hate snow & cold!

Willow-This fits in nicely & is a pretty nature name. Fairly common if that bothers you.

Evelyn-[name_m]Way[/name_m] popular! Doesn’t really fit w/Piper anyway. Might be nice for a mn.

Violet-Also kind of popular, but not as much as [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]. I think it’s sweet. A little more frilly compared to [name_u]Piper[/name_u], but I guess it’s fine.

Blair-This is a good fit. Not my cup of tea, but a fine name that works well w/your crew.

Rowan-I personally prefer this on a boy, but can see it as a sister to [name_u]Piper[/name_u].

Alice-Beautiful classic. Not immediately what I’d pair w/Piper, but a great name none the less.

Ella-Same as above.

Beyla-Hm. I think that [name_f]Baila[/name_f] is the more authentic spelling. It’s interesting. [name_f]May[/name_f] get mistaken for [name_f]Bella[/name_f], but kind of cool.

Rosalie-Aw, I like this. A little frilly next to [name_u]Piper[/name_u], but then again, I can totally see a sibset of [name_u]Piper[/name_u], [name_u]Finn[/name_u] & [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] being pretty cute.

Marceline-Not my favorite, because I think that it sounds a little snobby or something. But it’s different & interesting, & a little [name_f]Marcy[/name_f] would fit great w/your crew.

Marlee-I think that this looks way more substantial spelled [name_u]Marley[/name_u]. It’s perfect w/Piper & [name_u]Finn[/name_u].

A few more ideas that you may like…(sorry for any repeats!)

Maggie-better as a nn for [name_f]Margaret[/name_f], [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] or [name_f]Magdalena[/name_f].

I love [name_u]Blair[/name_u]! It is my middle name and I have received nothing but compliments my entire life. I love the suggestion of [name_u]Adair[/name_u] for you, [name_u]Adair[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is striking. We are most likely using [name_f]Greer[/name_f] as a middle name for baby girl coming next month. A family name for us but we love the strength of it, and it feels both nature and literary to me.

Evelyn [name_u]Blair[/name_u] would make such a nice addition to your sibset

Rosalie & [name_u]Marley[/name_u] are my favorites on your list
