We have been spinning around some ideas but would love some input. We like the cadence of [name_f]Isla[/name_f] [name_f]Moon[/name_f] but haven’t been able to come up with something we love as much as that for our second child. We considered [name_f]Elke[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] but stalled out on it because [name_f]Elke[/name_f] might be just too uncommon here in the States. For what its worth, our last name ends in ‘a’ and is 3 syllables of Spanish origin. Our second child’s name doesn’t have to have an ‘a’ at the end as her sister does, but it would sound melodic. Here are the names we have considered and a few sticking points.
We’d love opinions on the names, suggestions for others, and middle name ideas.
[name_f]Eve[/name_f] (we both love this name, but miss the rhythm of something longer) [name_f]Yvonne[/name_f] (I think it could be a good compromise, as its got a bit more weight to it, we can still call her [name_f]Eve[/name_f], and my husband likes the nickname “Vee” as well. But what middle name?) [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] (husband is not as stoked on this name, though I’d go for it) [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] (just adore it. Husband really needs convincing) [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] (we both like it, but I don’t want her to be nicknamed [name_f]Stella[/name_f] so we might be correcting people a lot)
Middle name that we like but not married to it: [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]-the french way- [name_u]BAY[/name_u]-uh-trees and call her [name_f]Bea[/name_f]. Its off the table for a first name as [name_f]Bea[/name_f] doesn’t sound right with our last name.
[name_f]Isla[/name_f] is my favorite name ([name_f]Isla[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u] is definitely my top choice if I ever have a daughter), and [name_f]Moon[/name_f] makes me think of nature/celestial middle names, so some combos I like with [name_f]Isla[/name_f] [name_f]Moon[/name_f] are:

I think [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] and [name_f]Yvonne[/name_f] are both great with [name_f]Isla[/name_f]! If you don’t want [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] to go by [name_f]Stella[/name_f] at all you could always try and get in their with a nickname first, like [name_f]Essie[/name_f] or [name_f]Elle[/name_f]. But they are both lovely names!
Have you considered [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]? It has all the loveliness of [name_f]Eve[/name_f], [name_f]Yvonne[/name_f], or [name_f]Estelle[/name_f], but is longer. Plus I think it sounds sweet with [name_f]Isla[/name_f].
As for middle names, if you want something nature related you could do [name_f]Bee[/name_f], like a nod to your fav that had to be demoted, [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f].
I like [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] best with [name_f]Isla[/name_f], also [name_f]Eve[/name_f]!
Have you considered [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] (so pretty with [name_f]Isla[/name_f]) or [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] (nickname Vee for your husband)?
[name_u]Vivian[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is lovely, as is [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f].
