We are about to welcome [name_u]Baby[/name_u] #3 and are very far from having a name for her! Our other children are [name_f]Isla[/name_f] and [name_m]Luke[/name_m] and I love their names individually and as a set. I’m having a hard time finding a name for their little sister that works well with their names, and is something that I love. With [name_f]Isla[/name_f] in particular, I just knew that was the name. I loved it when I first heard it and have never looked back. This time, I feel like my choices are all over the map.
Here are some of the names we’ve liked recently, in no particular order:
[name_f]Adelaide[/name_f]
[name_f]Adeline[/name_f]
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u]
[name_u]Arden[/name_u]
[name_f]Tessa[/name_f]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f]
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f]
[name_f]Zara[/name_f]
I’m open to new suggestions, I want something that’s not extremely popular and has some style. I’m fine with going into the delivery room with a list and making a final decision after we meet her, but I’m worried that I won’t feel any more certain when she’s here. Please help!
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] and [name_f]Claire[/name_f] came to my mind and I see you like them as well. I think they both go very nicely with [name_m]Luke[/name_m] and [name_f]Isla[/name_f]. I like [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] as well, as long as your last name isn’t too many syllables. Good luck & Beautiful names!
[name_m]Luke[/name_m] and [name_f]Isla[/name_f] both be heavy ‘l’ sounds, so from your choices, I think [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] goes with your sibset the best.
I like [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] and [name_f]Zara[/name_f] on your list. I also like [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] but wonder if the long U is too similar to [name_m]Luke[/name_m].
I like [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] the best. [name_f]Adeline[/name_f]/[name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] are fine choices too. All the names have positive qualities to them. You have good taste in names :). Good luck!
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] is gorgeous! I like ruby but not that it would make your daughters both have word names, I don’t care for that as much. [name_u]Arden[/name_u] seems a bit severe sounding compared to both [name_m]Luke[/name_m] and [name_f]Isla[/name_f], I like the name but not as much in your set. [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] is pretty but not a favorite from your list. [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] I prefer to adelaide, though I like both. They may be a bit too long for your other names though (and the addie nn seems inevitable, which you may not mind but just to think about). [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] is gorgeous but also a lot more name than crisp, feminine but not frilly [name_f]Isla[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Claire[/name_f] fits that same feel as [name_f]Isla[/name_f] so it gets my vote.
Eta, I forgot [name_f]Zara[/name_f]. It’s okay to me but also sounds a bit harder than it should when compared to your sunny day, bright [name_m]Luke[/name_m] and [name_f]Isla[/name_f].
I love [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] with [name_m]Luke[/name_m] and [name_f]Isla[/name_f]. So much spunk and so stylish! My second choice would be [name_f]Claire[/name_f].
My first thought when I read your title was [name_f]Esme[/name_f]. I think it’s perfect with [name_m]Luke[/name_m] and [name_f]Isla[/name_f]. From your list, I love [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] and [name_f]Zara[/name_f] the most.
You’ve put the perfect words to what I love about [name_f]Isla[/name_f]'s name: crisp, feminine, but not frilly. That is definitely what I’m looking for this time around too, and that description really helps me in the search. [name_f]Claire[/name_f] might just be the right name! And yes, my greatest fear in using [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] or [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] is “[name_f]Addie[/name_f]” – it’s cute but just not for me.
I like [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] the best with [name_f]Isla[/name_f] and [name_m]Luke[/name_m] as I think the name has the same aesthetics.
Only thing is the length of the name and I think [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] is the name that fits the length the best.
Maybe come up with an alternate nn for [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f]… Dela or Lady (which is not particularly everyone’s cup of tea)
After reading someone else’s review of the name [name_f]Claire[/name_f] I was kind of converted though it isn’t my favorite name. It is short and sweet and does seem to match nicely.
I like [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] best with [name_m]Luke[/name_m] and [name_f]Isla[/name_f]. I love the name [name_u]Arden[/name_u] but think [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] goes the best with your sibset.
[name_m]How[/name_m] about the alternate [name_f]Adele[/name_f]? It would keep the nice L sound and flow from the other two. [name_m]Luke[/name_m], [name_f]Isla[/name_f], and [name_f]Adele[/name_f].
