Next bub due [name_f]February[/name_f] 17th (girl) but no firm name yet.
Quite like:
[name_f]Nala[/name_f] (but worry it is too disneyfied with [name_f]Minnie[/name_f])
[name_f]Gracie[/name_f] (however I am a teacher and have taught nightmare children called both this and [name_f]Grace[/name_f])
[name_f]Nola[/name_f] (more unusual but not quite ‘the one’)
I also love [name_f]Charlize[/name_f] but don’t know we could pull it off!
She is likely to be very blonde as both myself and her dad are.
Our second choice name for first DD was [name_f]Holly[/name_f] but now unusable as have a nephew named [name_u]Ollie[/name_u] (though I absolutely adore [name_f]Holly[/name_f].) Also puts out [name_f]Molly[/name_f], [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] etc. Also have a niece called [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and another nephew called [name_m]Edward[/name_m] ([name_u]Teddy[/name_u].)
I am from a massive family so other names I like ([name_f]Georgia[/name_f], [name_f]Gemma[/name_f]) are names of my cousins (of which I have 44 in total!)
I love your style! Here’s what I think would best fit with big sister [name_f]Minnie[/name_f] (most of these are from my own list, since our styles are very similar);
[name_f]Minnie[/name_f] is adorable! [name_f]Charlize[/name_f] is beautiful, but I feel like it doesn’t really go with [name_f]Minnie[/name_f]'s cutesy style. Maybe [name_u]Charlie[/name_u]?
Other names I like:
[name_f]Posey[/name_f]
[name_f]Evie[/name_f]
[name_u]Izzy[/name_u]
[name_u]Remi[/name_u]
[name_f]Sukie[/name_f]
[name_f]Zora[/name_f]
[name_u]Shiloh[/name_u]
[name_u]Elia[/name_u]
Seconding [name_u]Haley[/name_u]'s suggestions of [name_f]Lola[/name_f], [name_f]Ivy[/name_f], [name_f]Edie[/name_f] and [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] - they give me a similar feel to the names you listed you like and to [name_f]Minnie[/name_f]
I think you could pull [name_f]Charlize[/name_f] off - though it is close to [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
Some other ideas:
[name_f]Cora[/name_f]
[name_f]Lois[/name_f]
[name_f]Lula[/name_f]
[name_f]Nora[/name_f]
[name_f]Pearl[/name_f]
[name_f]Nell[/name_f]
[name_f]Bella[/name_f]
[name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_f]Lydia[/name_f]
[name_f]Clarice[/name_f]
[name_f]Carys[/name_f]
My first thoughts were [name_f]Sadie[/name_f], [name_f]Elsie[/name_f], and [name_f]Hattie[/name_f]. Other ideas:
[name_f]Nettie[/name_f]
[name_f]Etta[/name_f]
[name_f]Bess[/name_f]
I love [name_f]Nola[/name_f] and think it’s adorable with [name_f]Minnie[/name_f]. [name_f]Charlize[/name_f] is great too but if you’re close to [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] I’d probably avoid it due to similarities.
[name_f]Nala[/name_f] with [name_f]Minnie[/name_f] I would absolutely think you’re a Disney enthusiast. And I completely understand not being able to get over bad associations with a name, so personally I would eliminate [name_f]Gracie[/name_f]. Though if you can get over past associations, more power to you!
Other ideas:
[name_f]Nina[/name_f]
[name_f]Greta[/name_f]
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]
[name_f]Daphne[/name_f]
[name_f]Gilda[/name_f]
[name_f]Tula[/name_f]
[name_f]Una[/name_f]
I definitely second [name_f]Lola[/name_f], [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] and [name_f]Bonnie[/name_f]! For other options, I like: [name_f]Alma[/name_f]- A bit more serious than [name_f]Minnie[/name_f], but it picks up on the “l” sound and is still so very sweet. [name_f]Gaia[/name_f]- Definitely jumped out at me immediately. The “G” from [name_f]Gracie[/name_f], plus a similar ending to [name_f]Nala[/name_f] and [name_f]Nola[/name_f]. [name_u]Josie[/name_u]- Another sweet, beautiful name. [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] could also be a lively consideration. [name_f]Elsie[/name_f]: This is unique, beautiful, and distinctive, but picks up on sounds from [name_f]Gracie[/name_f] and even [name_f]Charlize[/name_f]. [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] and [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] are equally spunky, strong choices. [name_u]Piper[/name_u]: Strong sounds, uniqueness, and sweetness, just like [name_f]Minnie[/name_f].
I hope some of these recommendations helped. Best of luck with your decision!
To me, [name_f]Nala[/name_f] and [name_f]Minnie[/name_f] wont work. I like [name_f]Gracie[/name_f] or [name_f]Grace[/name_f] with [name_f]Minnie[/name_f]. [name_f]Nola[/name_f] works too, but I like [name_f]Gracie[/name_f] better. Is [name_f]Minnie[/name_f] her full name? If so, I don’t think it can stand up to [name_f]Charlize[/name_f], even tho it’s a nice name.
[name_f]Lucie[/name_f]
[name_f]Daisy[/name_f]
[name_f]Calla[/name_f] - instead of [name_f]Nala[/name_f]. Meaning beautiful and also eliminates the disney connection.
[name_f]Poppy[/name_f]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Anya[/name_f]
[name_f]Lola[/name_f]
[name_f]Elsa[/name_f]
[name_f]Giselle[/name_f]
As you like [name_f]Nala[/name_f] (but not sure about it,) and don’t feel [name_f]Nola[/name_f] is “the one”, what about the Irish name. [name_f]Nuala[/name_f].
