  • Claire - keep it at the top for now, it is best choice : 14 (20%)
  • Sophia (we would also call her sophie) : 9 (13%)
  • Kate - : 4 (6%)
  • Zoe : 24 (35%)
  • Elise: 18 (26%)

I like [name]Zoe[/name] the best with your sibset.

I personally like [name]Kate[/name] the best. It’s classic and sounds great with [name]Cuyler[/name].

I love these combos

[name]Cuyler[/name] [name]Reese[/name] and
[name]Sophia[/name] [name]Kate[/name]

(Oh I just saw your signature [name]Sophia[/name] [name]Adelaide[/name] [name]Kate[/name] is to die for!! [name]Love[/name] [name]Sophie[/name]-[name]Kate[/name]!!)

I chose [name]Elise[/name]. I think it goes great with [name]Cuyler[/name]. [name]Both[/name] spunky. Maybe I just think [name]Elise[/name] is spunky because the only [name]Elise[/name] I know sure is a spunky one. [name]Sophia[/name] is very common, so I’d be wary of the potential that your [name]Sophia[/name] may be like [name]Sophia[/name]#4 in her class at school. [name]Kate[/name] seems a little too plain to be next to [name]Cuyler[/name]. Same with [name]Claire[/name]… although it’s better. And I plain just don’t like [name]Zoe[/name] (only my opinion).

Congrats on the bun in your oven and good luck!

When I saw your signature, I thought [name]Avery[/name] would be really cute for a girl with [name]Cuyler[/name]. I just don’t see your choices matching with [name]Cuyler[/name]. I could see other names like [name]Hadley[/name] and [name]Marlow/name or as [name]Cuyler[/name] is a Dutch surname, I could see a more Dutch girls name with [name]Cuyler[/name] like
[name]Anneke[/name]
[name]Anneliese[/name]
[name]Beatrix[/name]
[name]Brigitta[/name]
[name]Gisela[/name]
[name]Hilde[/name]
[name]Ilse[/name]
[name]Irena[/name]
[name]Janna[/name]
[name]Johanna[/name]
[name]Karin[/name] (love this name had a good friend in Germany with this name)
Katelijn (Dutch variant of [name]Katherine[/name]- could use the nickname [name]Kate[/name])
[name]Lara[/name]
[name]Liesbeth[/name]
[name]Margriet[/name]
Marlies
[name]Mieke[/name] (knew a girl in college who was so nice and an amazing person)
[name]Sabien[/name]
[name]Thera[/name]
[name]Xandra[/name]

I second something that sounds Dutch with your sons bane! I would love to see [name]Cuyler[/name] and…

[name]Anouk[/name]
[name]Beatrix[/name] (bea/trix)
[name]Saskia[/name] ([name]Kiki[/name])

Of your choices the way they stand I would choose [name]Elise[/name] but if [name]Sophie[/name] was an option I would choose [name]Sophie[/name].
I like [name]Elise[/name] [name]Sophia[/name] or [name]Sophie[/name] [name]Kate[/name]… [name]Sophie[/name] [name]Adelaide[/name] would also be gorgeous like in your signature! Or [name]Avery[/name] [name]Claire[/name]

However if I could pick anything to go with cuyler reese I would choose [name]Saskia[/name] [name]Kate[/name], [name]Anouk[/name] [name]Sophie[/name] or [name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Claire[/name]

I like your signature [name]Sophia[/name] [name]Adelaide[/name] [name]Kate[/name]!

[name]Do[/name] you get lots of pronunciation issues with [name]Cuyler[/name]? Is the name foreign or made up?

From your options above, I chose [name]Elise[/name]. [name]Claire[/name] is nice, but i’m not a fan of sibling names beginning with the same letter.

What about [name]Clara[/name]? Still sticking with the [name]Claire[/name] theme, but changing it a little bit so you don’t immediately associate with all the other little Claires in your life.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I honestly don’t choose names because of their meanings/etymology. I read the name [name]Cuyler[/name] in a book when I was 12 and loved the sound. As far as I know it is a Dutch surname and if you look it up you will find people with the last name of [name]Cuyler[/name] from a long time ago. I realize it does tend to sound “made up” or “trendy” according to nameberry opinion but it’s actually been around for a long time. And I just loved it. I’ve had a couple people hesitate over reading his name, but they usually always get it right. Most of the time, people say, "Wow that is a really neat name, I’ve not heard that before. " We actually get lots of compliments on it, honestly. People do tend to hear “[name]Tyler[/name]” instead of [name]Cuyler[/name] so that has probably been one of the bigger issues.

[name]Avery[/name] is our choice for a boy, not a girl. I actually really do not like [name]Avery[/name] for a girl, it is a boy name in my eyes. So we are set on [name]Avery[/name] for a brother and think it fits perfectly with [name]Cuyler[/name]. I like the idea of another Dutch name but none of those really seem to be our style.

I don’t understand why I could like [name]Claire[/name] but not [name]Clara[/name] but that’s how I feel, lol. I really love [name]Elise[/name], but as some have said, it doesn’t seem to match with [name]Cuyler[/name] as well, so we probably won’t end up using that one. I think honestly, the top three will be sticking with [name]Claire[/name], [name]Sophia[/name]/[name]Sophie[/name], and [name]Kate[/name]. I’m not into doing all “c” names or [name]Even[/name] the same sound like [name]Cuyler[/name] and [name]Kate[/name], but I just like these two names… I don’t have any other c names on my list currently. More opinions and suggestions welcome!

Oh, and the middles need to stay [name]Elisabeth[/name] [name]Louisa[/name] as we are honoring a very special grandmother who is now in heaven.

I’m surprised to see in the vote Elise and Zoe winning. Those are my DH’s least favorites of the choices.

[name]Even[/name] though [name]Zoe[/name] is a ancient name, it sounds contemporary and spunky and I think it goes well with [name]Cuyler[/name] (I like this name). I love [name]Claire[/name] and [name]Kate[/name] but I don’t like the matchy sounds with [name]Cuyler[/name]. [name]Sophia[/name] is much too formal and grand to “fit” with [name]Cuyler[/name]. I think the friendly and down-to-earth French version of [name]Sophie[/name] would be a better choice. [name]Elise[/name] is ok but it’s different in style to the more modern [name]Cuyler[/name].

Ooh, [name]Claire[/name] [name]Elisabeth[/name] [name]Louisa[/name] is a stunning combination!

I love the name [name]Zoe[/name] and I think it matches very well with [name]Cuyler[/name]. [name]Zoe[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Louisa[/name] is a wonderful mix of spunky, classic, and traditional names.

[name]Sophie[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Louisa[/name] is a great name! I really prefer [name]Sophie[/name] to [name]Sophia[/name] both with [name]Cuyler[/name] (i think [name]Sophia[/name] and [name]Cuyler[/name] seem a bit at odds) and also with middle [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Louisa[/name]… [name]Sophia[/name] And [name]Louisa[/name] ate a bit much together due to same ending [name]IMO[/name].
