Thanks for the quick replies! Forgot to mention, my husband loathes nicknames as real names, so if we were to name our child something, we have to use the full name. Also, I love [name_f]Alice[/name_f], but I think the ssss sound at the end runs into the Sh sound of [name_u]Shay[/name_u] and doesn’t really work. We have also been discussing [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] and [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] for quite sometime, and they seem no brainer choices, but for some reason we remain on the fence about them both. I will also almost certainly give the baby a nickname, [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] is [name_u]Penny[/name_u]. [name_f]One[/name_f] of the reasons I don’t like [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is because I hate [name_f]Liz[/name_f] as a nickname. I’m not opposed to using the full name, but I’m Australian, and people give you a nickname whether you like it or not.
With [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], there are lots of nn options, and if your baby already has one, others won’t re-nickname her [name_f]Liz[/name_f], would they?

Yes, I was just using [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] as an example. However it’s a name I forgot to add to my cannot use list. My biggest problem is trying to convince my husband of ANY names! He has his heart set on old lady names.
