I love Grace as a middle! (Maybe not for Rose, but for another name.) I have a dear cousin called Grace.
Anna is lovely!! @firefly305
I love Winnifred / Winnie too!! Thank you, @MargotAbeline - Lottie is so sweet! As well as Eve and Nell.
Thank you for your feedback, @MichelleM ! My sister is named Violet, or else I might put that on my list. It’s on there as a middle name (not for Rose though, because two flowers in one name is too much for me!) Also, it’s funny you should mention that about the Winnifred spelling, because I find that Winifred with one n is the one that looks off to me!
Thank you, @lemonrose! I love Alice and Winnie too!! And I love that you’ve suggested Laurie - I love that as a boy’s name, nn for Laurence.
Ivy, Belle, and Willa are beautiful suggestions.
Thank you, @TDFM!! I love Alice and Florence.
Also adore your suggestions of Eleanor, Eloise, Clementine, Willa, Matilda, Clara, Ada, Fern, Phoebe, Mabel, and Harriet! I really love the name Harriet! xx
Don’t hate me…I like [name_f]Iris[/name_f] and [name_f]Lily[/name_f] and [name_f]Peony[/name_f]
Peony is such a good name, @aublud!
Though, I’m called Hazel and my sister is Violet, and if I had a Rose and another flower baby… I fear it would be too much! We’d be a garden.
I really like [name_f]Winnie[/name_f], [name_f]Flora[/name_f] and [name_f]Alice[/name_f] with [name_f]Rose[/name_f].
I instantly thought of [name_u]Hazel[/name_u].
Why thank you! Hazel is my name.
I think it goes nicely, too! @river_dweller
Haha oops didn’t read your name tag!
Ok, ill add another name. [name_f]Goldie[/name_f] would be really cute!
[name_f]Rose[/name_f] and a classic, short name like (from your list) [name_f]May[/name_f] or [name_f]Jane[/name_f], and also [name_f]Grace[/name_f], [name_u]Marie[/name_u], [name_f]Eve[/name_f], [name_u]Anne[/name_u] or [name_u]Louise[/name_u]
Goldie is precious
[name_f]Alice[/name_f] is stunning with [name_f]Rose[/name_f]!

[name_f]Rose[/name_f] is truly divine. I personally love [name_f]Rose[/name_f] with another one-syllable name; something refreshing yet timeless that doesn’t try too hard.
There have been so many lovely suggestions but nobody has suggested [name_f]Claire[/name_f]!
I find [name_f]Claire[/name_f] to be the perfect sister to [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. [name_m]Just[/name_m] as classic, simple and charming, just as feminine and beautiful, just as everlasting, not tied to one era but absolutely timeless, refreshing and unexpected just like [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. [name_f]Claire[/name_f] deftly sidesteps the ‘too-flowery’ problem while still feeling quite uniform with [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. But the two names also have their own distinct beauties - [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is soft, lush, velveteen and warm, while [name_f]Claire[/name_f] is bright, clear, sparkling and cool. Distinct but perfectly matched!
(Sorry, I get so excited about this pairing
I have always found it the absolute perfect sister set in my eyes
)
Failing that, I’d name a sister to [name_f]Rose[/name_f] - [name_f]Eve[/name_f]. Others have suggested her before me haha! If you’re not afraid of two nature words then I’d say [name_f]Eve[/name_f] also makes an absolutely stunning pair with [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. I like how the nature connection is subtle; [name_f]Eve[/name_f] is a time of day, not a plant, which stops it from being too on-the-nose if you want to avoid that. It’s also a classic that shimmers and shines in it’s own right, and just like [name_f]Rose[/name_f], is so refreshing when chosen as a standalone first name in the era of [name_f]Olivia[/name_f], [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] and [name_f]Isabella[/name_f]. This pairing kind of makes me think of [name_f]Evening[/name_f] [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] which is a beautiful flowering herb that supports feminine hormones.
Personally I feel [name_f]Penelope[/name_f], [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] and [name_f]Winnifred[/name_f] are too long and clunky next to [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. They have a kind of clunky charm that is lovely but not in the same vein as [name_f]Rose[/name_f] in my eyes. [name_f]Annalise[/name_f] works because it’s light and airy. [name_u]Florence[/name_u] nn [name_f]Flora[/name_f] also works as long as you don’t mind the floweryness. I think [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Flora[/name_f] make a sweet pair! [name_f]May[/name_f] and [name_f]Jane[/name_f] are sweet and while I find them more plain and less exquisite than [name_f]Rose[/name_f], I think that’s just my personal take; objectively they work nicely.
So pretty
I love Clara, Daphne, and Harriet! Polly and Edith are also very sweet with Rose. Thank you, @elanorelle !!
Love Phoebe and Elise!! Oh, and Hope! Those are gorgeous
Thank you, @vida!!
Claire is a beautiful name! I know a darling little girl with two first names, one of which is Claire, and this name reminds me of her. Such a bookworm and smart kid. I love this name! Thank you, @alatari
What a coincidence?! [name_f]Glad[/name_f] you like my suggestions! [name_f]Adele[/name_f] & [name_f]Rose[/name_f] are sweet together
With [name_f]Rose[/name_f], I love [name_u]Florence[/name_u] (flowery but not matchy), [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] (elegant and pretty), [name_f]Alice[/name_f] (sweet and simple) and [name_f]May[/name_f] (pretty, short but sweet).
With [name_f]Rose[/name_f], I’d consider sisters…
[name_f]Edith[/name_f]
[name_f]Clara[/name_f]
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f]
[name_f]Polly[/name_f]
[name_f]Margot[/name_f]
[name_f]Eloise[/name_f]
[name_f]Stella[/name_f]
