Last [name_m]Saturday[/name_m], [name_u]January[/name_u] 16th, we welcomed our third child and second son to the world. He was born in the water, dubbed [name_f]Thea[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f], and he and I were covered in a warm towel. After about 15 minutes of discussing his beautiful face and fingers, I lifted the towel to adjust his cord and gasped. “What is THAT?!?!” I whisper-yelled. Apparently gender scans really CAN come out wrong!
It took about 24 hours to solidify his name, but we’re in love with it and it suits him perfectly. His older siblings, Ivy Coraline and Martin Jake, weren’t sure at first, but loving their little brother now. [name_f]Welcome[/name_f] to the family, [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] [name_m]Truman[/name_m]!
We went with just an elective scan, not the more in depth 20 week scan. We actually held out until 28 weeks before deciding to find out, mostly for our daughter’s sake. She was so insistent that it was a girl, that we wanted to be able to prepare her if it was a boy. That plan sure did backfire!
Ok, that is pretty much the BEST birth story I’ve heard in a long time probably because of your sense of humor. [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] is also one of the best names i’ve heard in a while, so win-win
I can only take that as a compliment. If I achieved crappy fan fiction status with an announcement I had about 3 minutes to draft while functioning as a nursing rotisserie to a sick toddler and a tongue-tied newborn, I’m calling that a level up.
Such a handsome name! [name_f]Ivy[/name_f], [name_m]Martin[/name_m] and [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] are amazing together. Congratulations to your little man.
