I’m not sure on the twin’s gender yet, but I’ll make a decision on that when I have some idea of what names that fit this I like.
[name_m]Jens[/name_m] Giese is the sixteen-year-old x of A Touch of [name_u]Frost[/name_u], which is from the Title and Blurb Game because of course it is. A Touch of [name_u]Frost[/name_u] is a loose retelling of The [name_u]Snow[/name_u] [name_f]Queen[/name_f] by [name_m]Hans[/name_m] [name_u]Christian[/name_u] [name_u]Andersen[/name_u], leading to Jens’ name. [name_m]Jens[/name_m] is [name_m]Danish[/name_m], though living in [name_u]England[/name_u], while [name_u]Mika[/name_u] (I need to find a surname he can use when he’s playing human but I’ll do that myself) is Finnish by a technicality.
Mika’s first name was chosen because I like the name. [name_m]Jens[/name_m] Giese was chosen for meaning – [name_m]Jens[/name_m] is a variation of [name_u]John[/name_u] which means ‘God is gracious’, and if you’ve read The [name_u]Snow[/name_u] [name_f]Queen[/name_f] you may be familiar with the fact that prayer is fairly important. Giese means ‘pledge’ or ‘hostage’, which if you’re familiar with The [name_u]Snow[/name_u] [name_f]Queen[/name_f] means you’ll also understand the latter interpretation. Essentially [name_m]Jens[/name_m] plays the role of [name_f]Gerda[/name_f] in A Touch of Frost… but there does sort of need to be a [name_u]Kai[/name_u] too. This is where the twin comes in.
I’m looking for [name_m]Danish[/name_m] names specifically, though Scandinavia as a whole would be fine if that’s too narrow which it honestly might be. I know the lack of specifics in terms of gender probably won’t make this any better, but honestly this is more of a ‘what would a reasonable twin name for [name_m]Jens[/name_m] Giese be so I can make sure they don’t sound weird’.
I am not naming this one [name_m]Soren[/name_m], I have too many Sorens already.
