It’s very P heavy, but my big issue with it is that it’s so, so visually similar to [name]Peter[/name] [name]Pan[/name]. I don’t think that reference is going to go away any time soon. I nearly read it as [name]Peter[/name] [name]Pan[/name] at first. I like [name]Piper[/name] and I think that [name]Pan[/name] is an absolutely awesome surname, but I don’t think that they work together unfortunately.
I agree that it is very reminiscent of [name]Peter[/name] [name]Pan[/name] (and that tongue-twister my dad always repeated when I was little: “[name]Peter[/name] [name]Piper[/name] picked a peck of pickled peppers. A peck of pickled peppers [name]Peter[/name] [name]Piper[/name] picked. If [name]Peter[/name] [name]Piper[/name] picked a peck of pickled peppers, where’s the peck of pickled peppers [name]Peter[/name] [name]Piper[/name] picked?”)–I guess the [name]Peter[/name] part sort of unites them for me, haha. I really love [name]Piper[/name], and [name]Charlie[/name] and [name]Piper[/name] are adorable together, but I think it just might be too much. [name]Even[/name] [name]Piper[/name] [name]Peterson[/name] or any other “P” surname would be fine with [name]Piper[/name], I think, but just [name]Piper[/name] [name]Pan[/name] really doesn’t work. Would you consider similar names, like [name]Harper[/name], [name]Fifer[/name], or [name]Pippa[/name]?
It’s so, so close to [name]Peter[/name] [name]Pan[/name]. It almost sounds like a parody name.
With your surname, I’d try to avoid two syllable names ending in -er.
All I can think of is [name]Peter[/name] [name]Pan[/name], I guess people won’t use the middle name much but I do know a kid who got teased a lot for being [name]Christopher[/name] [name]Robin[/name]. [name]Piper[/name] is cute though.
Thanks folks! Voting seems pretty unanimous against a [name]Piper[/name] [name]Pan[/name]. Definitely not looking for a reason to have my kid in therapy cuz of the whacky name her parents gave her!
I do love [name]Harper[/name] but feel its a little too popular for me. [name]Fifer[/name] is a no go and [name]Pippa[/name] [name]Pan[/name] sounds even stranger to me than [name]Piper[/name]. lol
Guess [name]Piper[/name] is relinqueshed back to a mn potential and we’re back to [name]Marlo[/name] or [name]Waverly[/name] for fn.
I really like [name]Waverly[/name]. Too bad about the last name because I also really like [name]Piper[/name] and it does sound great with [name]Charlie[/name].
[name]Marlo[/name] [name]Pan[/name] makes me think of Marzipan.
As much as I agree that [name]Piper[/name] [name]Pan[/name] IS too close to [name]Peter[/name] [name]Pan[/name], when your daughter gets married she CAN change her surname. It’s basically a question of, as you said, are you willing to let your your child in through living with the connotations while growing up? Probably not. Such a pity, as [name]Piper[/name] IS lovely. All the Best
