My sister has a friend named Aberlyn. I love that name for a girl, but I cannot find any information about that name. Does anyone know the origins of Aberlyn or its meaning?
I can’t seem to find anything either. Honestly, Aberlyn is probably a made up name.

I couldn’t find anything either. You should ask her about her name. I do it all the time. 
[name_m]Trust[/name_m] me, people with rare names are used to questions and comments and usually have a lot to say on the subject of their name. You could just tell her, “I’ve never heard of anyone with your name before. Where does it come from?” There’s a good chance her parents made it up and simply liked the sound, but there could be more to it than that.
