Abigail, Lilian or something else?

I’m due in less than 3 weeks with a baby girl. Up until this week, we were fairly certain we were going with [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] [name_f]Lilian[/name_f] [name_f]Heather[/name_f] for our daughter but now we don’t know. [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] was a name my husband thought of and [name_f]Lilian[/name_f] and [name_f]Heather[/name_f] are our respective grandmothers.

As we get closer, we both are starting to lean more towards [name_f]Lilian[/name_f], aka [name_f]Lily[/name_f], as her first name but I’m still not 100%. [name_f]Lilian[/name_f] was my grandmother who passed away last year and she always said to her daughters and me, “over my dead body will you ever name a child [name_f]Lilian[/name_f].” She hated the name. That said, her and my mum were so close and we were the closest out of all the grandkids and I just know if she was still here, she’d give me a wicked smile and let me do it and secretly love it. My grandmother was my best friend and it devestates me that she isn’t here to meet her first great-granddaughter. I really want to name my daughter after her.

What name would you go for? Or if you don’t like either, what names would suit the same theme/style of [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] and [name_f]Lilian[/name_f]?

The choices as it stands now are:

[name_f]Abigail[/name_f] [name_f]Lilian[/name_f] [name_f]Heather[/name_f] ([name_u]Abby[/name_u])
[name_f]Lilian[/name_f] [name_f]Heather[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] ([name_f]Lily[/name_f])

Thanks for your help!

I love all your choices separately, but [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] [name_f]Heather[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is way too floral-and I love floral nature-y names.
Obviously [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] is very special to you so I say keep that (or [name_f]Lily[/name_f]) as a first or middle forsure.
[name_f]Lillian[/name_f] [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] [name_f]Heather[/name_f] or [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] [name_f]Heather[/name_f] are both lovely-I slightly prefer [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] in the first name spot.
One of my personal favorite [name_f]Lily[/name_f]
combos is [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_f]Lily[/name_f]
Good luck!

I would go with [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] [name_f]Heather[/name_f] ___. The nickname [name_f]Lily[/name_f] is lovely and [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] works well with [name_f]Heather[/name_f]. I just wouldn’t use another floral word as the second middle name.

I do like:

[name_f]Lillian[/name_f] [name_f]Heather[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_f]Lillian[/name_f] [name_f]Heather[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]
[name_f]Lillian[/name_f] [name_f]Heather[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]

Also, I think [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] and [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] ([name_f]Lily[/name_f] and [name_u]Abby[/name_u]) make a great sibset.

[name_f]Abigail[/name_f] [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] [name_f]Heather[/name_f] is a little “L” heavy. [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] [name_f]Heather[/name_f]? I know your grandmother didn’t care for her name, but I think it’s so pretty. [name_f]Lily[/name_f] is a precious nickname. Since [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] has so much meaning to you I think you should use it as a first name.

[name_f]Lilian[/name_f] [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] [name_f]Heather[/name_f] certainly runs together most comfortably for me and I definitely prefer the nn [name_f]Lily[/name_f] over [name_u]Abbie[/name_u]/[name_u]Abby[/name_u]. I guess you need to think that to 95% of people that your daughter meets, only the first name will be revealed and in this context I think that [name_f]Lilian[/name_f] is a winner - both [name_f]Lily[/name_f] and [name_f]Lil[/name_f] are great nns and [name_f]Lilian[/name_f] would be at home on the beach or the boardroom.

I like [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] [name_f]Lilian[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] or [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] [name_f]Heather[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. I don’t think [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] [name_f]Lilian[/name_f] [name_f]Heather[/name_f] flows very well.

I like [name_f]Lilian[/name_f] quite a bit more than [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] (it just sounds school girlish to me). [name_f]Lilian[/name_f] [name_f]Heather[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is very garden-y…and I like it.

The meaning behind [name_f]Lilian[/name_f] is adorable! I would go for that, honestly, because it is such a meaningful tie. (Also, I just really love [name_f]Lilian[/name_f]/[name_f]Lillian[/name_f] and [name_f]Lily[/name_f]!) I think [name_f]Lilian[/name_f] [name_f]Heather[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is a bit too naturey for me, and I really like [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] [name_f]Lilian[/name_f] together, but I prefer [name_f]Lilian[/name_f] to [name_f]Abigail[/name_f]. [name_f]Lilian[/name_f] [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] [name_f]Heather[/name_f], maybe?

Good luck!
