Abigail or Allira

I am looking for a name to suit our first born (due in 5 weeks). I love [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] (nn [name_u]Abbie[/name_u]) and Allira (nn [name_u]Allie[/name_u]). I can’t decide which I like best. I love the classic test of time feel of [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] but in contrast I like that Allira is uncommon and would stand out from the crowd a little more. Would love to hear thoughts :slight_smile:

[name_m]Even[/name_m] though [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] is popular it is classic and has a lot of history and credibility. I have never heard of Allira and I don’t really care for it. It could also present spelling and pronunciation issues. [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Allegra[/name_f]?

I like [name_f]Abigail[/name_f], but it was one of the most popular when I was born so I grew up around so many. Allira is beautiful!

I love Allira! I much prefer the unique, lovely sound of Allira. (Although I’d probably spell it Alira or [name_f]Elira[/name_f].) [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] feels “safer” but Allira stands out as more interesting yet familiar at the same time!
