I’m in Midwest USA and I’ve always pronounced it uh-cay-see-uh…I’ve never seen it pronounced uh-cay-shuh. This name is in my UC and that second pronunciation is honestly putting me off
I like [name_f]Acacia[/name_f] a lot & [name_f]Acacia[/name_f] [name_u]Camille[/name_u] is very sweet! I do pronounce it uh-kay-shuh personally, but your pronunciation is nice as well
I normally pn it [name_m]Ah[/name_m]-cay-shuh but I see ah-cay-see-uh too It’s a pretty name
I really like [name_f]Acacia[/name_f] [name_u]Camille[/name_u]! [name_f]Acacia[/name_f] [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] and [name_f]Acacia[/name_f] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] came to mind
[name_f]Acacia[/name_f] Camille is so pretty! I agree that the C sound flows well after [name_f]Acacia[/name_f]. [name_f]Acacia[/name_f] [name_f]Cathryn[/name_f] would be lovely too.
Also, I would say [name_f]Acacia[/name_f] with a -shuh sound.
I would pronounce it just like wood, ah-kAY-sha. I personally am not a fan and similarly do not prefer names like [name_u]Spruce[/name_u], [name_u]Oak[/name_u], [name_u]Birch[/name_u]… I prefer Caseynl, [name_f]Alicia[/name_f], or [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f], which all have very similar sounds to [name_f]Acacia[/name_f].
I’ve only heard it pronounced as A-[name_u]Kay[/name_u]-shuh, both for the tree and the name (I went to school with an [name_f]Acacia[/name_f], the only one I’ve ever met, but I always admired her name!). I think A-kay-[name_f]Sia[/name_f] might be an uphill battle for pronunciation.
[name_f]Do[/name_f] you like [name_f]Acadia[/name_f] or [name_f]Arcadia[/name_f]? Those feel similar without the pronunciation challenge.
My instinct would be uh-KAY-shuh but it would be an easy correction- chances are, if you say uh-kay-see-uh, that’s the norm where you are so she wouldn’t have many problems.
I like [name_f]Acacia[/name_f] [name_u]Camille[/name_u]- I think it sounds very pretty, especially with your pronunciation of [name_f]Acacia[/name_f]! Your pronunciation feels more elegant than how I would say it.
