We have 2 daughters [name_f]Lilla[/name_f] and [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]. After much debate we decided on [name_f]Tess[/name_f] for a girl and [name_u]Everett[/name_u] for a boy for this baby. We were not looking for names with double letters, in fact I think that these were the only names on our list that had double letters but in the end they were our favorite. This isn’t our last baby, the plan is 4. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think that we are stuck using double letters for any additional children?
I don’t think so. I doubt I would notice if you didn’t mention it.
No way, it’s not a very visible or significant pattern like sharing same sounds or being color names or anything like that. That’s really minor.
Honestly, this isn’t something I would have ever noticed had you not mentioned it. I don’t think anyone else will notice it, either.
To be honest, the pattern is barely noticeable. Before I read the entire post I was wondering what pattern there was, so no need to worry. Anyway, you never know maybe you will love would with double letters…there are lots out there!
We hadn’t noticed it until someone on Nameberry mentioned it and since then I have of course started to worry if it was super obvious. Thanks.
I honestly hadn’t noticed until just now. Berries pick up on subtle patterns and associations that I’m almost positive the average person wouldn’t notice.
No, it’s not really noticeable until the pattern is mentioned and you see all the names written down. Most of the time, the names will be said out loud or they aren’t written together, so I don’t think the “pattern” is a big deal.
I’ve followed several of your threads regarding this naming journey and I never noticed until you mentioned it here. I think it would be okay if you found a name that departed from the hardly noticeable theme.
I don’t think I’d have noticed if you hadn’t pointed it out. [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t worry about it!
I would probably notice when I wrote your [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] card or something, but it would be a three second thing that I’d never even mention. Over all I don’t think you have to worry about it.
At the same time, this is exactly the problem I’m having right now! We are on our last kid and our other two have a non-deliberate pattern that I kind of feel I should err towards this time. So, despite no one ever noticing your brain might play this trick on you anyway!
I didn’t even notice the double letters until you pointed it out, so I think you’re fine going either way.
I would never have even noticed if you hadn’t mentioned it.
I don’t think so. I mean, subconsciously, I sort of notice it–and on your other post, I was thinking how beautiful [name_f]Lilla[/name_f], [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f], [name_f]Tess[/name_f], and [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] would be–but I think it just subconsciously seems to fit more. I mean, I’d like to see [name_f]Lilla[/name_f], [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f], [name_f]Tess[/name_f], and [name_f]Elinor[/name_f] or [name_f]Lilla[/name_f], [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f], [name_f]Tess[/name_f], and [name_f]Olive[/name_f], too, or [name_f]Lilla[/name_f], [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f], [name_u]Everett[/name_u], and [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] or [name_f]Lilla[/name_f], [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f], [name_u]Everett[/name_u], and [name_u]James[/name_u]–but to me, subconsciously, something like [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f], [name_f]Gemma[/name_f], or [name_m]Killian[/name_m] would “look” more right–but I don’t think that means you have to use it! I’d just wait to see which names you like best for your last pregnancy, and go with what you love. I mean, it could be a pattern, but it’s so subconscious that I don’t think anyone would notice it unless you said something. It’s not like you have three kids named [name_f]Liliana[/name_f], [name_f]Luciana[/name_f], and Liviana, and then decided to go all crazy-town and opt for [name_u]Finley[/name_u] or something.
