Achilles or Achilleus

I read it in a book and loved it! (haha)
I think I like [name]Achilleus[/name] more, and think maybe more suitable than [name]Achilles[/name]?
because [name]Achilleus[/name] once was popualar in Greece (wouldn’t know if it still would be).

What do you think of [name]Achilles[/name] or [name]Achilleus[/name] for a baby?

[name]Achilles[/name] all the way - I don’t like the flow of [name]Achilleus[/name] (and the ‘us’ sound at the end I personally associate with [name]Roman[/name] names eg [name]Maximus[/name], [name]Aurelius[/name], [name]Septimus[/name], [name]Lucius[/name], [name]Romulus[/name]).

I would use it as a second name, though, as I wonder if a name like [name]Achilles[/name] would result in more teasing than usual?? [name]Just[/name] a thought.

Good luck!! : )

[name]Achilleus[/name] feels unnecessary, and it’s still clearly the same name, as in, doesn’t blunt the negative association.

I just wish people remembered more about [name]Achilles[/name] than his weakness, so his name might carry a better image.
