My hubby has fallen in love with the name [name]Adaline[/name]. We have a [name]Austin[/name] and [name]Allison[/name]. I want her to have a " pretty " name but I feel [name]Adaline[/name] is too old fashion. I like [name]Avery[/name] but feel it may not be feminine enough. Please help.
I don’t think it sounds too old at all! Sounds like many of the other older names coming back in to fashion. And the nickname [name]Ada[/name] is a bonus!
I think it would fit right in with all the other vintage names coming back in style! Other ideas you might like:

I think it is gorgeous!
The only problem with it I think is that people won’t know whether to pronounce it [name]Ad[/name]-uh-line or [name]Ad[/name]-uh-lyn. Besides that, I think it’s beautiful. I agree with the previous post that [name]Adelaide[/name] could be a great alternative!
I think [name]Adelaide[/name] would be a great alternative and you could consider changing the spelling to [name]Adeline[/name].
[name]Adelaide[/name], [name]Adeline[/name] or even [name]Aveline[/name] are all beautiful!
I [name]Love[/name] [name]Adaline[/name] it’s beautiful
[name]Adaline[/name] is very stylish, not to old in the least, it’s charming.
[name]Adaline[/name] does have ‘old’ charm but its the good kind
its a much more updated version from the [name]Adelaide[/name] name craze
It is actually a fresh vintage/modern choice. I prefer the spelling [name]Adeline[/name].
I don’t think it’s old fashioned at all – I know lots of little girls with this name (though most spell it [name]Adeline[/name]).
[name]Adeline[/name] doesn’t seem old to me at all! If you want it to be a bit more modern looking you could always do [name]Adelyn[/name] instead, but I like [name]Adeline[/name] better. Either way it’s just like [name]Madeline[/name]/[name]Madelyn[/name] without the “M” not old sounding at all!
It’s an “old-fashion” name that is (I think) overly trendy right now. I just know a lot of little ones with named [name]Adeline[/name], [name]Adelaide[/name], [name]Adriane[/name], etc. and it already feels overdone
I think [name]Adeline[/name] is lovely (I also like [name]Adaline[/name], but [name]Adeline[/name] seems easier). I don’t mind [name]Adelyn[/name] although I don’t like it quite as much - I do think it might be a more natural fit with [name]Austin[/name] and [name]Allison[/name]. Although the sound of it might actually be really, really close to [name]Allison[/name]? Hmm. [name]Avery[/name] is somewhat unisex but it does work OK in the set and is attractive. I like it for you.
Are you planning on more kids though? Are you OK with locking yourself into (or later breaking) a-starts-with-letter-A-ends-with-sound-N pattern? [name]Austin[/name] and [name]Allison[/name] do have different beginning sounds so it’s not too late to mix things up, either with a totally different beginning and ending sound or at least one. [name]Avery[/name] is nice for using the letter A again but yet another beginning sound and a different ending.

I think it’s great, also a fan of [name]Adelaide[/name]. And [name]Love[/name] the nick name option of [name]Addy[/name]!
It looks more trendy than old fashioned to me, especially with that spelling. I think [name]Adeline[/name] would be nice with siblings named [name]Austin[/name] and [name]Allison[/name].
