mikhail ivanov “misha” jemison-boulder is a newborn, and was adopted from russia by his dads, who live in west vancouver, bc- charlie baxter jemison (33, teacher, he/him) and caelan max boulder (32, nurse, he/him). he lives with his 3 year old sister, amelia charlotte “millie” jemison-boulder, who was also adopted only she was from australia. misha is a very sleepy and cooperative baby.
[name_u]Misha[/name_u] is now one!! He is overall a very healthy and happy baby, and his dads and sister adore him. However, he recently has not been responding to auditory stimulus, so his dads take him to the doctor and find out that he has severely reduced hearing, which will likely result in him being completely deaf one day.
Because of this, [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] and [name_m]Caelan[/name_m] start learning sign language and start teaching it to [name_f]Millie[/name_f] so that they can all communicate as a family!

[name_f]Millie[/name_f] has started kindergarten and 2-year-old [name_u]Misha[/name_u] really misses her. He’s very intelligent and has picked up on sign language fast, and his parents are thinking of investing in hearing aids but don’t know the cost or which to buy, or if they even make them for three year olds. His family decides to get him a pet, a 5 year old male orange cat named [name_u]Percy[/name_u]. [name_u]Misha[/name_u] loves [name_u]Percy[/name_u] a lot and pets him all the time, which [name_u]Percy[/name_u] doesn’t mind since he’s cuddly. [name_m]Caelan[/name_m] is also promoted at his work.
Misha is 3! [name_u]Misha[/name_u] got a cochlear implant and can hear everything! Caelan has quit his nursing job and has started his own small bakery to be able to care for Misha. The bakery is very profitable! But now Charlie and Caelan keep fighting with each other.
Misha loves to draw and go to the bakery he doesn’t;t particularly enjoy being outside. Millie and Misha are so close and have to share a tiny room. But Millie feels that the attention is always on her little brother and feels jealous

[name_u]Misha[/name_u] is now 4 and in preschool. He’s found to be very intelligent and skips a grade. He doesn’t have many friends but he’s fine with that, and is just happy to be a kindergartner.
[name_u]Charlie[/name_u] and [name_m]Caelan[/name_m] split and [name_m]Caelan[/name_m] is left with the kids. He’s devastated to have lost the only man he ever loved.
[name_u]Misha[/name_u] is now five years old and [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] is now eight years old. [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] wishes to move in with [name_u]Charlie[/name_u], which greatly upsets [name_m]Caelan[/name_m]. [name_m]Caelan[/name_m] contacts [name_u]Charlie[/name_u], who currently lives in [name_u]California[/name_u], to ask if [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] can live with him since that is what she desires. Unfortunately, [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] has little interest in [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] moving in with him or seeing his children, as he discloses that he is dating a new man named [name_m]Harrison[/name_m], who is a journalist. [name_m]Caelan[/name_m] recognizes that [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] has moved on and decides to do the same by joining a dating website. Meanwhile, [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] is frustrated with everyone except her little brother, who she loves. [name_m]Caelan[/name_m] finds it challenging to support two children with a business that is generating less revenue than before, so he begins working multiple jobs. Caelan’s sister, [name_f]Fiona[/name_f], felt that he needed a break after a few months, so she offered to take care of [name_u]Misha[/name_u] and [name_f]Millie[/name_f]. During that time, [name_m]Caelan[/name_m] found a new job at a nursing home and met someone on a dating website. Things were going well for him, so he decided to take the kids back from [name_f]Fiona[/name_f].
[name_m]Caelan[/name_m] and the person he met, a nonbinary person named [name_u]November[/name_u] [name_u]Erin[/name_u] Castleford, who’s his age, have moved to [name_f]Victoria[/name_f], BC- [name_u]Misha[/name_u], now 6, does not mind it, but [name_f]Millie[/name_f] wants to live with [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] still. [name_m]Caelan[/name_m] is having a hard time explaining to her that [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] doesn’t want [name_f]Millie[/name_f] to live with him, and tries to avoid discussing it to spare his daughter’s feelings. [name_u]Misha[/name_u] has taken up painting and art therapy and he’s really liking it.
[name_m]Caelan[/name_m] and [name_u]November[/name_u] have decided to adopt another child together!! They search for adoption agencies, and are soon paired with a teen mom, [name_u]Jamie[/name_u]. [name_u]Jamie[/name_u] gives birth to twins: a boy and a girl. [name_m]Caelan[/name_m] and [name_u]November[/name_u] name them [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] and [name_f]Wilda[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u]. They are lovely babies, but very fussy, so [name_m]Caelan[/name_m] and November’s time is entirely taken up by them.
[name_f]Millie[/name_f] and [name_u]Misha[/name_u] are adapting to not having their parents’ full attentions all the time, and are starting to play together more. [name_f]Millie[/name_f] is still sad about [name_u]Charlie[/name_u], and now, with [name_m]Caelan[/name_m] being busy, she decides to run away. [name_m]Caelan[/name_m] and [name_u]Misha[/name_u] find her a half-mile down the road, where he assures [name_f]Millie[/name_f] that they both still love her so much and will always be her family
[name_u]Misha[/name_u], who’s 7, has gotten more into art and drawing. [name_m]Caelan[/name_m] and [name_u]November[/name_u] are very happy for him that he’s finding a creative outlet. [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] and [name_f]Wilda[/name_f] are a year old. Both twins get diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, and recieve treatment for it. [name_f]Millie[/name_f] is now 11 and starts middle school! She makes a lot of friends and has fun in sixth grade. That is, until mid-year [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] shows up at Caelan’s door. He asks to reconcile with his children, and [name_m]Caelan[/name_m] decries [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] for being so selfish and tells him to get out of his house. [name_f]Millie[/name_f] retaliates in anger, yelling at [name_m]Caelan[/name_m] for being selfish and not letting her be with [name_u]Charlie[/name_u]. Apparently Charlie’s husband [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] left him and he’s in deep debt. [name_f]Millie[/name_f] screams at [name_m]Caelan[/name_m] and starts causing trouble in school.
[name_u]Misha[/name_u] is 8 and [name_f]Millie[/name_f] is 12. [name_f]Millie[/name_f] has started to struggle with mental health issues, she now recognizes that [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] didn’t want the best for her but now she just has a deep feeling of wanting to be liked by someone who can take care of her, leading her to make friends with a group of older girls who [name_m]Caelan[/name_m] can see are nothing but trouble. [name_u]Misha[/name_u] has adopted 2 year old twins [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] and [name_f]Wilda[/name_f] as his little helpers and they follow him round everywhere. [name_m]Caelan[/name_m] and [name_u]November[/name_u] think the sibling bond is absolutely adorable.

[name_u]Misha[/name_u] and [name_f]Millie[/name_f] have both had issues at school. [name_u]Misha[/name_u] is being teased for his Cochlear implants and for being a “weirdo” while [name_f]Millie[/name_f] has been causing trouble in Middle School and has been doing very badly. For Misha’s birthday he got an iPad and has started to play Roblox and watch YouTubers. He has also started to occasionally help his dad at the bakery to earn some Robux. The twins and [name_u]Misha[/name_u] are still very close!
