Please give your input! [name_u]Baby[/name_u] girl is due in [name_u]August[/name_u]. Middle name is going to be [name_f]Rose[/name_f] (family name on both my and my hubby’s side). I like [name_u]Addison[/name_u] but already know a lot of little girls with the name or nickname [name_f]Addie[/name_f]/[name_f]Addy[/name_f], plus I am still trying to convince myself that it isn’t too masculine sounding. I also like [name_f]Amanda[/name_f] but is it too 1980s/1990s? Oh, and big brother’s name is [name_m]Connor[/name_m] – he will be 4 when baby comes. Any other suggestions welcome too! [name_f]TIA[/name_f]!
[name_f]Amanda[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is very pretty. [name_u]Addison[/name_u] means ‘[name_m]Son[/name_m] of [name_m]Adam[/name_m]’ so it definitely has that masculine vibe, but I can see how the softer sounds n it seem feminine, but to me it’s too trendy.
[name_f]Amanda[/name_f] for sure. [name_f]Amanda[/name_f] is feminine in its entirety, where [name_u]Addison[/name_u] is more masculine. Plus I’m not a fan of [name_u]Addison[/name_u]. But it’s your child!
[name_f]Amanda[/name_f] it’s not as popular as it used to be, plus it has a sweet meaning and sound. As for nicknames, there’s [name_u]Mandy[/name_u]/[name_f]Mandi[/name_f] (my sister is an [name_f]Amanda[/name_f], and this is what she goes by), which is similar to [name_f]Addie[/name_f]/[name_f]Addy[/name_f]. [name_f]Amanda[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] sounds so pretty.
I also prefer [name_f]Amanda[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. It sounds so sweet!
[name_f]Amanda[/name_f]! [name_m]Connor[/name_m] and [name_f]Amanda[/name_f] do sound very 90s together, but I think that’s okay.
[name_f]Amanda[/name_f] is a lively classic. She is ready for a comeback. [name_u]Addison[/name_u] is all kinds of trendy and masculine. [name_f]Amanda[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] 100%!
I’m the minority, I prefer [name_u]Addison[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] to [name_f]Amanda[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. I find [name_f]Amanda[/name_f] to be very dated and, whilst [name_u]Addison[/name_u] is trendy, I do really like it.
Definitely [name_f]Amanda[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. I hate [name_u]Addison[/name_u], sorry.
[name_f]Amanda[/name_f] is way too outdated. You will be naming your child a name that lots of her friends moms have. It will feel kind of like [name_u]Lisa[/name_u] or [name_f]Carol[/name_f] felt in our generation. [name_u]Addison[/name_u] is much more today. Yes, it is popular but at least it sounds like the name of a child born today. With the popularity of both [name_u]Addison[/name_u] and [name_u]Madison[/name_u] for girls I wouldn’t worry about it sounding masculine. If you’re worried about popularity I think it’s important to note that there were 35,000 [name_f]Amanda[/name_f]'s born in one year at the peak of its popularity and only 7,000 [name_u]Addison[/name_u]'s when it was most popular. So there are a lot more [name_f]Amanda[/name_f]'s in the world than Addisons.
I prefer [name_u]Addison[/name_u].
[name_u]Addison[/name_u] is so trendy these days. Go for [name_f]Amanda[/name_f].
My name is [name_f]Amanda[/name_f] and I’m pretty cool. So. It gets my vote.
[name_f]Amanda[/name_f] is a beautiful names that’s become a modern classic. [name_u]Addison[/name_u] is not a beautiful name. To me there’s no contest!
As someone who has the name [name_f]Amanda[/name_f] (I go by my middle name now) I HATE IT! Being a teen with this name sucks, everyone always makes the joke ‘A-[name_m]Man[/name_m]-Duh’ and honestly [name_u]Addison[/name_u] is so cute and sounds like that one cool, sporty girl who makes friends with everyone. But I might just be a bit biased. Because times could easily change and [name_f]Amanda[/name_f] could be cool again.
But I prefer [name_u]Addison[/name_u]
I like [name_f]Amanda[/name_f] more than [name_u]Addison[/name_u].
It seems like you like A names!

What about [name_f]Adalyn[/name_f] or one of its variations? Its got the [name_f]Addy[/name_f] nickname and it’s more feminine.
I strongly prefer [name_f]Amanda[/name_f]. In fact, it’s one of my favorites. Sure it’s '90’s, but who cares? In 20 years, I’m willing to bet you that [name_f]Amanda[/name_f] will be in again.
[name_u]Addison[/name_u] feels incomplete to me, like someone just chopped the M off of [name_u]Madison[/name_u] and called it a new name.
