I like them both but [name_f]Adela[/name_f] by a smidgen.

I voted [name_f]Adela[/name_f] simply because it’s a bit more my style, but I think both are great names.

I see [name_f]Adela[/name_f] as more feminine and also more in line with a lot of more popular names today, even though [name_f]Adela[/name_f] itself is not a popular name.

[name_u]Adair[/name_u] seems more unisex and more unique-sounding.

[name_f]Adela[/name_f] is feminine and sophisticated.

I also like them both, but [name_f]Adela[/name_f] has my heart, simply because [name_f]Adele[/name_f] is one of my favorite names right now, and so I’m starting to love all varieties or similarities by default–[name_f]Adela[/name_f], [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f], [name_f]Adeline[/name_f], [name_f]Adelina[/name_f], Adelise, etc.

I’ve always preferred an alternative pronunciation ([name_m]ADD[/name_m]-eh-lah), which is what a girl I went to high school with used (she spelled it [name_f]Adella[/name_f] and was from [name_u]Brazil[/name_u]), so I never get behind [name_f]Adela[/name_f] completely, but I love the feminine charm and unusual feeling with [name_f]Adela[/name_f], and would love to meet a girl with the name! I like [name_u]Adair[/name_u], too, but I’m starting to like it less and less. It was one of my favorite unisex names, but it’s starting to seem less and less unisex to me. I don’t know. I have a strict no-unisex-names policy for girls (I have one and hate it), so I’d only ever use it as a MN, and as time has passed it draws me less and less. Unfortunately. I think it’s a great name, objectively, though.

My preference is [name_f]Adela[/name_f]. Beautiful!
