[name]Adelaide[/name] [name]Rose[/name] [name]Harper[/name] by a mile! [name]Adelaide[/name] ages so well while I can’t picture [name]Arabella[/name] above the age of 9.
I prefer [name]Adelaide[/name] to [name]Arabella[/name]. Have you considered other nicknames for [name]Adelaide[/name]? I like Lady and [name]Della[/name], myself.
Honestly, we love the overused and common nickname [name]Addie[/name]. We purposefully did NOT choose a top 50 name for our daughter, but we have no qualms about using a common nickname so that people can easily identify with her. Thank you for your help though
I didn’t suggest them because of [name]Addie[/name]'s popularity. I just think they’re less intuitive, so I wasn’t sure if you had thought of them.
I have a cat named [name]Addy[/name]
I choose [name]Arabella[/name] a million-fold…I guess I’m in the minority but we’re choosing [name]Arabella[/name] for our daughter due in [name]April[/name]. I however love girlie names. [name]Adeline[/name] is a family name for us and was at the top of our list but [name]Addie[/name] isn’t girlie enough for me either  I guess your question was which is the most beautiful and sophisticated. [name]Adelaide[/name] does not come off as beautiful to me (to me). But it is nice.
[name]Arabella[/name] is way way better…
Haha, looks like a very divided camp here. I prefer [name]Adelaide[/name] because I think is is beautiful, has a more grounded sound than [name]Arabella[/name], and well age better. Either way, both pretty names!
I prefer [name]Adelaide[/name] with [name]Theodore[/name], and I like it better with [name]Rose[/name]. [name]Arabella[/name] is pretty though.
I love [name]Arabella[/name], it’s on my top ten list for girls. I love the nickname [name]Aira[/name] for it too! If you are thinking in the future, I think [name]Adelaide[/name] works well with [name]Oliver[/name], and [name]Arabella[/name] works well with [name]Theodore[/name]. [name]Adelaide[/name] is cute but I don’t think it’s beautiful or sophisticated.
hope this helps!
nn adele. obviously very popular.
Ooooh… That’s tough… I’m going to have to go with [name]Adelaide[/name]. It’s cute on a little girl, and beautiful on a grown woman.
[name]Arabella[/name] is nice enough but I adore [name]Adelaide[/name].
[name]Adelaide[/name] seems less frilly and easier to grow into. [name]Arabella[/name] is one of the few [name]Bella[/name] names I like though.
[name]Adelaide[/name] by a mile! [name]Arabella[/name] is too syrupy sweet. Good name for a pony though!
[name]Adelaide[/name] sounds fantastic with [name]Theodore[/name]- i think it’s the d sound repeating that makes them a good match. They also sound like a perfect balance of romantic but classy/sophisticated.
Ohhh I have to add: I don’t mean to be rude about [name]Arabella[/name], it’s just not my style. I am a horse person so the pony comment wasn’t a dig. And I just realized that [name]Arabella[/name] seems like that because of the breeds of horses Arabian (almost always short handed to Arabs) and the miniature horse breed Falabella.
My grandmother’s name was [name]Adelaide[/name] [name]Annie[/name] Bath… I think [name]Adelaide[/name] is a wonderful name. My grandmother was [name]Della[/name] for short. If I didn’t have such a long surname, it would be my no. 1 girls name.
I find [name]Arabella[/name] [name]Rose[/name] [name]Harper[/name] more elegant, sophisticated and beautiful, personally. I love it.
[name]Arabella[/name] is nms. I can’t see it on an adult. I love [name]Adelaide[/name].
I voted for [name]Adelaide[/name]. I think the [name]Arabella[/name] combo is too R heavy.
