Adele- does it go with Zoe?

Our top two for a long time running are [name]Eva[/name] or [name]Zara[/name], more [name]Zara[/name] at the moment. We have a very spunky 2 year old, [name]Zoe[/name] and her sister is due in 3 weeks! The name [name]Adele[/name] came up today and [name]Ive[/name] always really liked it but was unsure with the popularity of the singer… all the sudden I decided I dont care about that, I like the name a lot and its not like its on the top ten list. But [name]Adele[/name] does feel very soft and feminine next to [name]Zoe[/name]. [name]Do[/name] you think it goes? Any other thoughts on the name? Or other suggestions?

[name]Just[/name] a side note too, my husband named [name]Zoe[/name]. The name definitely suits her but it wasnt really my style so this time we are looking for a name that sits well next to [name]Zoe[/name] but is slightly less trendy. Thanks for your feedback!

I think if your like the name [name]Adele[/name] you should go with it! Name’s don’t always have to match.

[name]Adele[/name] & [name]Zoe[/name] sound great together.

[name]Adele[/name] while soft is still strong- and 2 syllable like [name]Zoe[/name].

I like it!

I love [name]Zoe[/name] and [name]Adele[/name] together! [name]IMO[/name] they go much better together than [name]Zoe[/name] and [name]Zara[/name] (too much Z, [name]Zoe[/name] and [name]Sara[/name] would be better).

I like [name]Adele[/name] best of your 3 options to go with [name]Zoe[/name]. [name]Zoe[/name] and [name]Adele[/name] sound like they are cute little sisters

Something about [name]Zoe[/name] and [name]Adele[/name] strikes me a being a little off. I can’t exactly place it but that said, it’s a lovely sibset. I’d avoid [name]Zara[/name] with [name]Zoe[/name]. I’d also avoid [name]Eva[/name].

I would stay away from [name]Eva[/name] with [name]Zoe[/name]. They have the same meaning. I really like [name]Adele[/name] and [name]Zoe[/name] together, though! Such a cute sibset! [name]Both[/name] spunky and lively.

I love [name]Adele[/name]. So smooth and sleek but still soft and feminine. I think [name]Adele[/name] sounds great with [name]Zoe[/name]. They’re both sleek and soft.

I really like them together! [name]Both[/name] beautiful and sweet names. I also like [name]Eva[/name] and [name]Zara[/name]. You’ve got great taste. I don’t think you need any more suggestions, but these ones are dancing in my head and I think they’d fit: [name]Elodie[/name], [name]Flora[/name], [name]Melia[/name], [name]Mina[/name] & [name]Peony[/name].

I love [name]Adele[/name] and prefer it over [name]Zara[/name] and [name]Eva[/name]!

Hmm…
[name]Adele[/name] is a lovely feminine classic, and I actually love the association of [name]Adele[/name] the singer, she has a fabulous voice, represents ‘real’ women and has a healthy attitude. [name]Adele[/name] as a name is really lyrical and soft. However even though [name]Adele[/name] is a great name I don’t know whether the name works with [name]Zoe[/name]. [name]Zoe[/name] is rather lively as a name, she has a loud sound whereas [name]Adele[/name] doesn’t she’s very soft. I think a name with an ‘a’ ending would work better with [name]Zoe[/name]. Yet I would stay away from [name]Zara[/name] she’s obviously beautiful but with both children having ‘z’ names if you go onto having a third you may struggle naming that child. I mean ‘z’ is an uncommon letter and I think it would be strange if you went onto having a third child if that child didn’t have a ‘z’ name. For example [name]Zoe[/name], [name]Zara[/name] & [name]April[/name] looks strange [name]April[/name] with her ‘a’ beginning not fitting in with the others who both have the ‘z’ start. This potentially could limit your naming choices. Saying this I think the beautiful [name]Eva[/name] could potentially have similar issues to [name]Zara[/name]. [name]Eva[/name] is three letters, like [name]Zoe[/name] and has the same meaning which could limit your choices concerning a third. Also [name]Eva[/name] is slightly trendy.

Basically I wouldn’t use any of them!!

Suggestions:
[name]Adela[/name] (similar to [name]Adele[/name] but the ‘a’ ending gives her a punch) -
[name]Adela[/name] & [name]Zoe[/name]

[name]Clara[/name] -
[name]Clara[/name] & [name]Zoe[/name]

[name]Lilia[/name] (lily [name]AH[/name]) -
[name]Lilia[/name] & [name]Zoe[/name]

[name]Elena[/name] (eh [name]LAY[/name] nuh) -
[name]Elena[/name] & [name]Zoe[/name]

[name]Acacia[/name] -
[name]Acacia[/name] & [name]Zoe[/name]

[name]Lena[/name] -
[name]Lena[/name] & [name]Zoe[/name]

[name]Esma[/name] -
[name]Esma[/name] & [name]Zoe[/name]

[name]Willa[/name] & [name]Zoe[/name]

[name]Hope[/name] this helped xx

Beautiful! Go for it!

Hmm thank you so much for your feedback but the whole “I wouldnt use any of these” reeeallllly isnt helpful. Also we are definitely only having two children so this is the last! We are getting on in age and I dont think I could do this again haha. Plus two little girls are perfect. That said, I like when names sort of tie together, especially for sisters.

I think [name]Zoe[/name] and [name]Adele[/name] are a great sister set.
They both have a soft and feminine side to me except [name]Zoe[/name] strikes me as spunkier and [name]Adele[/name] as more pensive.
But I really like when names in sib-sets have their own personalities, just like your kids will have.

I actually like [name]Adele[/name] best here. If you’re daughter wasn’t [name]Zoe[/name], then I’d easily vote for [name]Eva[/name] or [name]Zara[/name] (which are on my top 10 and top 20 respectively), but [name]Zoe[/name] and [name]Eva[/name] and [name]Zoe[/name] and [name]Zara[/name] are both pretty matchy to me–with the glamorous short-and-sweet “Z” names for [name]Zoe[/name] and [name]Zara[/name], and the matchy meanings of [name]Zoe[/name] and [name]Eva[/name] (which both mean “life”). [name]Zoe[/name] and [name]Adele[/name] are distinct, but both feminine, timeless (I honestly don’t find [name]Zoe[/name] trendy–it’s existed for thousands of years and I really know no children named [name]Zoe[/name], but I know a charming little old lady named [name]Zoe[/name], so I find it very fresh and charming!), and complementary. I think something like [name]Zoe[/name], [name]Adele[/name], and [name]Eva[/name] would work well for three sisters, but as it is, I like [name]Adele[/name] much better with [name]Zoe[/name] than just [name]Eva[/name] or [name]Zara[/name].

Good luck!

I think [name]Adele[/name] and [name]Zoe[/name] are a pretty sister set.

[name]Adele[/name] and [name]Zoe[/name] are great together!

Definitely, in fact [name]Zoe[/name] [name]Adele[/name] Lastname would make a great combo.

[name]Don[/name]'t worry too much about sibsets, anyway. They are unique individuals who will live the vast majority of their lives without any sort of “set” attachment to their sibling. My rule of thumb is just to avoid unfairness or any obvious “matching” - which in my humble opinion would apply to [name]Zara[/name].

I think [name]Adele[/name] goes just fine with [name]Zoe[/name], even though it has a softer sound and feel. You could always use the nn “[name]Addie[/name]” which gives the name that bit more spunk, like the name [name]Zoe[/name] has.

Congratulations and all the best!

It’s a contrast, but a very nice one. Hurry up and use it before [name]Adele[/name] ([name]Adele[/name] [name]Laurie[/name] [name]Blue[/name] Adkins) trademarks the name!
