Adeline or Adelaide?

[name_f]Rachel[/name_f] [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] or [name_f]Rachel[/name_f] [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f]? Which one and why?

[name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] - I just personally like [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] a bit better, and I especially like the history behind it

[name_f]Rachel[/name_f] [name_f]Adeline[/name_f].

Tough call! I think both work really well with [name_f]Rachel[/name_f], but I slightly prefer [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] because the N sound helps balance it out.

I prefer [name_f]Rachel[/name_f] [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] for the same reason that @hundredacre prefers it.

I like [name_f]Rachel[/name_f] [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] more.

I prefer [name_f]Rachel[/name_f] [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f]. [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] is much more distinctive than [name_f]Adeline[/name_f].

Although I like [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] more than [name_f]Adeline[/name_f], I think it overpowers [name_f]Rachel[/name_f], so I prefer [name_f]Rachel[/name_f] [name_f]Adeline[/name_f].

While I prefer [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] to [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] (Guys and Dolls really cinched that for me!), I think [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] sounds better with [name_f]Rachel[/name_f]. It’s the repeating “uhl” sounds… Rach-uhl [name_m]Ad[/name_m]-uhl-aide that throw me off.
